Thanks Lance for those pictures. My heart aches for those who call that area home. It will recover but not in some of our lifetimes. The younger generation will probably see huge benefits years from now. Hope all are safe and well around the area. TJ

I just got done reading Bill Quimby's book " Sixty Years A Hunter". He is a regular on this site and I highly recommend it. I ordered my copy direct from him and had him sign it for me. The wife and I are going to have lunch with Bill next Friday and we are very excited to finally meet him. It is a must read. Great book! TJ

Great pics Amanda. The mirror pic is my favorite. Good for Julie on her find. You have got to get a better tent if you expect to continue to camp in the rain. lol TJ -

Peg and I had a great time last year visiting with cwt members and others I knew. The food was great and the feeling we came away after attending this fundraiser was beyond heart warming. This new organization is really changing lives one adventure at a time for not only youths with life threatening illneses but for those children who have disabilities, non-life threatening illness, and children of our fallen servicemen and women. I assure you by attending this evening of events it will bring you a sense of complete satisfaction knowing you were a part of what brings so much joy to the hearts of each of these kids. So what do you say? Let's see how many cwt members we can get togther this night of fun, good eats, and support of OE4A. Look forward to seeing you all there. Thanks! TJ -
Peg and I are enjoying your pictures of Cathedral Rock as I type this. Can't wait to see more. Great job Doug. TJ

I really don't know if they make a bow that small. If your wife is 2ft tall and weighs 50lbs I would suggest a custom bow for sure. Can we see a picture of your wife. TJ

I know there are those who shoot very accurate at that range and can probably compensate and make the shot under the ideal situation but I'm certainly not one of them. It amazes me to see how the technology has advanced over the years. These individuals are far and few between. I'm old school so I say it is unethical for anyone to pull the trigger in these conditions. If you say you can't get any closer then how are you going to get there to retrieve your animal if you luck one in? Just my opinion! TJ

Wounded Bear, what do you think caused it?
tjhunt2 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in The Campfire
I once saw Yogi & Booboo act like they were injured so some campers wood feel sorry for them and leave them some food. It worked in the cartoon. You didn't fall for that one did you Amanda? TJ -
It was pretty funny but also so sad for the damaged it has caused. I have to admit I was laughing during the whole thing. Did you really post that Amanda? Maybe I heard Kevin wrong. TJ

That is just awesome Clay. Can you say PRICELESS! TJ

5" circle of deer hair 4 or 5 times in a half mile? Sounds like someone or something has marked the way to your favorite honey hole. TJ

I hope they catch whoever is responsible. I have put out many camp fires over the years after those who have left them not completely out. I wish they would teach this in school and just maybe it would carry over to the parents. We have got to continue the educate about the dangers of fires. I would like to see more signs along the roads in our forest to remind campers and visitors of the dangers and fines. TJ

Thanks for sharing. That is a great picture of Paul & Sunshine along with the picture of Julie also. TJ -
Glad to finally meet you and your wife, Ellen, this weekend. Enjoyed visiting with everyone who made it out to the cwt outing. I had read some of this years ago Tony and glad you brought it back up for all of us to read such a great piece of history. I'm sure there are hundreds if not thousands of hunters who haven't a clue as to how elk were brought here. Thanks! TJ

Thoughts and prayers for all those affected by the fires going on around Flagstaff. It just makes me sick to my stomach to see that beautifull country go up in smoke. Let's hope they get control of it soon. Thanks for the pictures Doug and please keep us updated. TJ

Peg and I had a great time visiting with everyone who made it up to the the cwt outing. A special thanks to Lance and family for providing supper, breakfast, and lunch. Peg and I got there early friday before anyone showed and met with someone we thought was with our group because she called me tjhunt2 from reading my license plate. That story for another time. The weather was perfect and all the dogs, about 11 if I counted right, all got along quite well. Peg and I arrived back home to no airconditioning due to a faulty compressor starter motor which ended up costing $250. Finally got it fixed around noon today. Sorry it's taken so long to get the pictures posted. By the way, I some how lost about half the pictures I took when I trasnsferred them over to my H-drive to clear up some space on my C-drive. I again apoligize if you are not in the pictures. I did have everyone at one time but managed to screwed that up. Enjoy! Dad & son take aim Some archery pics from saturday Sitting around after lunch Some cwt dogs/Angie's two My Lexie and Tony's Sasha Amanda & Paul's Julie&Sunshine My Lexie&Missy One of Ron's dogs/ lost his 5yr old lab pic of Kade Amanda scoring a very nice rack Saved the best for last. Lance cooking for the group. I lost the pic of him and his wife. SORRY! -
