Hows your archery hunt going ?
tjhunt2 replied to Harleyfx69's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Don't give up! I also hunt where quads are present and I own quads myself. Maybe they didn't know you were in the area. Whatever the situation I wish you a better time the next time out and good luck with your hunt. TJ -
Welcome to the site and love your avatar. I have a 8 month old who looks just like yours. TJ

Three years ago I tore up my rotator cup really bad. Tore the tendons right off the bone along with it. Wasn't able to left my arm over my head or reach out and do anything with the arm. Not to scare you but it was the worse thing I ever went thru in my life. Without the help of my wife I don't know what I would have done. I once had a titanium plate replaced in my neck to fuse my vertabres together after falling off a rock chasing Jevelina and the rotator was twice as bad when it came to pain. Therapy was pretty painful but was neccesary for the healing process. Now,I don't know anyone as tough as .270. I wouldn't take any advise from him since he isn't really normal when it comes to pain or anything else for that matter. lol I do agree with his suggestion about hunting before the surgery and then have it done. If you are going to have surgery then ask around about differrent surgeons. He!!, I bet .270 could do it for you and save you a bunch of money. TJ

Can't wait to see the pictures after you harverst that one. Good luck! TJ

Yes, there are alot of decent hunters out there that will respect your spot. I've had many hunters walk in on my spots while sitting there and that will happen from time to time. I use a moving blanket from Harbor Freight and it works great for keeping the noise down. It also keeps the dirt down and keeps thing quiet while moving around in the blind. You are right about shooting a mehanical broadhead thru a screen. It doesn't work well. The last thing I will add is the only tripod stool I would sit on would be one from Double Bull. They are pretty good. I still prefer a good camp chair with arm rest that I can sleep in without falling out of. Good luck on the rest of your hunt. TJ

Thanks for the pictures and congratulations on your foxes. TJ

Resist? No wonder you shot this buck. It's a beautiful buck and congratulations. TJ

What a bummer about losing all the meat but good job of sticking it out and recovering your buck. That goes along with archery hunting and it is painful to say the least but you stuck with it. Congratulations on both your bucks and thanks for sharing your story. Some would not have done that and I commend you for it. TJ

Are you kidding me? Yes he is a shooter! Don't let all the big elk pictures on here distract you from your first elk. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with passing on elk of that size if that's your goal but don't let that influence you from harvesting that bull. Post the pictures after your hunt. Good luck! TJ

I live near Mesa Drive/60. I have a place near my house that has thousounds of ripe pears for the picking right now. The wife and I picked a bunch last Sunday after attending a prickly pear class up at the Thomas Arburedom. It was taught by Amanda's husband Paul. If you live close to me I will share my spot which is easy pickens for ya. We have been putting the juice to good use on a variety of defferent things. TJ
