Congratulations Doug on your goat. The pictures are great as usual and a good story to go with them. I bought a preference point this year in hopes to go up next year myself. I've never hunter there before and after reading your story I can't wait til next year rolls along. Thanks for sharing. Would liked to have seen Rica in one of the photos. TJ

Here is a recipe my wife came up with many years ago and has to be one of my favorites of all times. We prepared it last night. We had several guests for super including Ted, aka Jackshoe, and his wife Ann Bounds. I'll try and explain the prepareness along with the pictures. These are 40 doves cleaned including skin on with legs. Gizards & hearts to be places in the stuffing Cook uncle Ben's wild rice and stove top dressing then mix together for stuffing the birds. Hand stuff each bird and place in a cooking pan that will accommodate the amount of birds you are cooking. Your pan should look something like this. Place bacon to cover birds. We used sherry wine but any good cooking wine will do. Pour wine until it's about halfway up the birds. Cover with foil and cook at 350deg. for 2hrs. ENJOY!

tjhunt2 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Store
Listening to everyone it seems they are a good thing if you know how to handle them but if there is all this trouble with breaking blades and getting use to using them then I'm going to stick with my hunting knives. Sorry! TJ -
Wow! That is one nice bull. Congratulations and thanks for sharing. TJ

I called the Phoenix office on Wednesday and asked this question. Can my nephew, who happens to be 10yrs old, from Colorado come here and hunt the youth hunt with his hunter ed certificate? The lady told me no because at that age it has to be an Az hunter ed certificate. Now I have been thinking about this for a couple days so decided today to call the mesa office and I was told it doesn't have to be an Az hunter ed card and he could hunt here as long as he passed it in Colorado. Just thought I'ld throw that in. TJ

You can't eat the horns and your young bull will be better eating than some old 400 class bull anyways. Congratulations and glad you're home safe. Enjoy some great eating and thanks for sharing. TJ

There is no way there was enough for Paul. Peg said we would have had to make at least 2 more of those cooking pans full to feed Paul. LOL We would have had to shoot another limit or five so that's why he wasn't invited. Didn't want Paul to go hungry. TJ
-
We were so hungry with all the smell I completely forgot it and knew someone would comment on that. Sorry! Hope your BD was a good one. TJ
-
Glad you're alright but if you are going to continue to drive like that can you please leave me the range finder in your will? LOL TJ
