    No longer an evacuee

Thanks Bill for the update. Peg and I are so grateful that your cabin was spared. Yes, the fire fighters are not paid enough for what they have to go thru and putting their lives on the line. My hat's off to them and thank God they were able to save what they did. TJ
  3. Just a short update on our condition. These cwt get togethers are tough on us and our equipment. Taking out insurance next year for sure. lol I woke up Sunday morning and could hardly get out of the bedroom. The knee swelled up and walking was and still is painful. I helped Lance remove a stump by kicking it a bunch of times before getting smart and using a shovel so he could get his truck in. The knee took until Sunday to stiffen up. Peg is covered with chiggers on both legs and it's driving her crazy. While parking my 5th wheel in the back yard the wind blew the gate closed and wiped out most of my passenger side bed. Does coueswhitetail have insurance? TJ

  5. First of all Peg and I would like to thank Lance, Carrie, their children Aimee, Weston, Rachel, and Ty for hosting this event. The Crowther family did an outstanding job and their hospitality is second to none. Peg and I left at 11:15am today for the trip home and just now got unpacked and bathed both our dogs. I will post some pics and a list of all who attended in the next couple days. It was a great time with lots of good food, meeting new members, seeing old friends, and enjoying the beautiful weather. 9. I just check with Coconino National Forest and the forest is still open as of today. The trailer is about packed and Peg just informed me I have to make another trip to Fry's. lol Once the parents pick up the kids we should be on the road by 4'ish. Looking forward to getting out of the heat and visiting with you'all. To bad we can't have a campfire this year but we've come up with another option to that. Lance & his family really know how to host a great get together and hope to see some of you on the mountain. TJ

This post is for the dogs

AZbowhntr, thanks for sharing Jake with us. He sure was a beautiful dog. My heart goes out to ya. Been there done that and it isn't an easy thing to do. I cried like a baby when I put my old lab down a few years back. Good advise about taking lots of pictures. Thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. TJ
  12. Last year most were gone by 5 or 6 Saturday. I think I was about the last to leave and I moved over to Blue Ridge, at a friends cabin, and was there by dark. I don't have any plans on Saturday night yet. Like to get home somewhat early and spend some time with Dad since it's Father's Day. TJ

    PLEASE READ!

Thank you Ernesto for bringing this back up. We do need all the help and prayers for Josh's family especially his wife in this time of need. I have prayed every night that the good lord watch over her. Just because you don't see the response here on cwt doesn't mean the prayers or donations are not being sent to help out our fellow cwt member. I will have a coffee can for donations set out on the cwt outing at Marshall Lake for those who wish to donate. Prayers are as good as money, if not better, and I ask that you please keep Josh's wife in your prayers. TJ

Eric, congratulations on your second bear with a bow. That is one big bear for sure. I sold your Dad a cover for his 5th wheel and hope it fits. I spent a couple hours talking with your Uncle & Aunt the other day and know how hard you worked for that guy. Thanks for sharing your story and pics. TJ

    I Lied

It's amazing how Hershey took to Tony and Ellen. You would have thought they owned him their whole life. If you ever get the chance to meet Hershey you're in for a real treat and you will see first hand how he could make an old softy out of anyone, even Tony. lol Peg and I had the pleasure of spending the evening, over dinner, with Ellen & Tony last Saturday and you could feel the love this dog had for them and them for him. God has a plan for us all and this is definitely one of his best. Yes, dinner was awesome and thank you Ellen and Tony for a wonderful evening. Can't wait to see Hershey again at the cwt outing. TJ
