5th ANNUAL CWT MARSHALL LAKE GET TOGETHER
tjhunt2 replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
I just check with Coconino National Forest and the forest is still open as of today. The trailer is about packed and Peg just informed me I have to make another trip to Fry's. lol Once the parents pick up the kids we should be on the road by 4'ish. Looking forward to getting out of the heat and visiting with you'all. To bad we can't have a campfire this year but we've come up with another option to that. Lance & his family really know how to host a great get together and hope to see some of you on the mountain. TJ -
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing Doug. Will you be joining us at the cwt get together? Hope to see ya there. TJ

AZbowhntr, thanks for sharing Jake with us. He sure was a beautiful dog. My heart goes out to ya. Been there done that and it isn't an easy thing to do. I cried like a baby when I put my old lab down a few years back. Good advise about taking lots of pictures. Thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. TJ

5th ANNUAL CWT MARSHALL LAKE GET TOGETHER
tjhunt2 replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Last year most were gone by 5 or 6 Saturday. I think I was about the last to leave and I moved over to Blue Ridge, at a friends cabin, and was there by dark. I don't have any plans on Saturday night yet. Like to get home somewhat early and spend some time with Dad since it's Father's Day. TJ -
I will have a coffee can out during the cwt outing at Marshall Lake. If anyone can afford a donation trowards Josh's wife that will be appreciated.

Tony, what a great mount. It is going to look awesome along side the rest of your mounts. That has got to be the best of seen so far. Enjoy! TJ

Thanks for the pictures. Sorry to hear thay are going to close the forest but I guess it is the right thing to do. TJ

Thank you Ernesto for bringing this back up. We do need all the help and prayers for Josh's family especially his wife in this time of need. I have prayed every night that the good lord watch over her. Just because you don't see the response here on cwt doesn't mean the prayers or donations are not being sent to help out our fellow cwt member. I will have a coffee can for donations set out on the cwt outing at Marshall Lake for those who wish to donate. Prayers are as good as money, if not better, and I ask that you please keep Josh's wife in your prayers. TJ

2011 Archery AZ Black Bear Hunt
tjhunt2 replied to CouesBuckhunter's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Eric, congratulations on your second bear with a bow. That is one big bear for sure. I sold your Dad a cover for his 5th wheel and hope it fits. I spent a couple hours talking with your Uncle & Aunt the other day and know how hard you worked for that guy. Thanks for sharing your story and pics. TJ -

First of all congratulations to Hunter on his first piece of work. That squirrel looks awesome and I just might have him do one for me. Congratulations on all your mounts as well. I need to get to Young and check out your place. Thanks for sharing and thanks for sharing your work. TJ

Sounds like a great deal to me. Someone needs to take advantage of this. TJ

It's amazing how Hershey took to Tony and Ellen. You would have thought they owned him their whole life. If you ever get the chance to meet Hershey you're in for a real treat and you will see first hand how he could make an old softy out of anyone, even Tony. lol Peg and I had the pleasure of spending the evening, over dinner, with Ellen & Tony last Saturday and you could feel the love this dog had for them and them for him. God has a plan for us all and this is definitely one of his best. Yes, dinner was awesome and thank you Ellen and Tony for a wonderful evening. Can't wait to see Hershey again at the cwt outing. TJ

Bill, Peg and I are just sick to our stomachs and hope and pray your cabin was one of the lucky ones. I feel so helpless and wish there was something I could do but unfortunately, like so many, we can only stand back and watch as this fire destroys where so many memories were made over the years. Our deepest sympathy for all the families that were and are in the path of this fire. It's no where near done and our prayers are with all the people working so hard to control this monster. One of our fondest memories of Greer is when Peg and I had the pleasure of haveing lunch with Bill and visit his beautiful cabin last year. Here is a picture I cherish dearly. This was taken at Bill's place after he signed a copy of his book "Sixty Years A Hunter" TJ

I'm regretting getting Lexie fixed. Wished I would have let her have one litter. She probably wouldn't mind the ride though. lol Good luck with the puppy maken. You both have good looking dogs so the pups should turn out awesome. TJ Lexie says SORRY!

Thoughts and prayers for your grandma along with you and the rest of the family. TJ

I sent Bill an e-mail today and asked if there was anything I could do for him and haven't heard from him. I hope he is alright. I will let you know if I hear from him. TJ

Thanks for all of the great pics! In fact they are SO well brushed in, I can't even see the production blind. Another question: let's say I erect and brush-in the blind at the beginning of my designated hunt week. What are the chances that my blind will still be there all week? Do hunters live by a code of ethics that I am hoping for, or will it go bye-bye? Most hunters do live by a code of ethics that you are hoping for but unfortunately there are a few who don't and then there are those who don't hunt and will steal or destroy anything they get their hands on. If you're in a popular place with alot of traffic then expect it to go bye-bye. I won't leave my $480 double bull in such an area but will leave a cheaper model so it won't be so painful if it happens. TJ
