Not sure how I missed this one. So sorry to hear of your loss. It will be hard for all your family and friends who have enjoyed this beautiful cabin through these days I'm sure. Although we've never met, I would like to be on the list of those who would be willing to help with the clean up or whatever it may be. Thoughts and prayers for your family during this hard time. TJ

My heart bleeds for ya. So sad to have your cabin go like that. Thoughts and prayers for your loss. Will you rebuild? TJ -
I went and done it. Epson 725 printer/copier. Not sure what the heck I'm doing but here are a couple samples. It's been frustrating to say the least. My first bass in 1955. I was 4 yrs old. My first and only goose in 1989. I'm on the left. Apache Lake. One of my first coues deer from Mt Ore in the 80's Thanks for everyone's help. Now I have something to do in my spare time. TJ

Tranparencies=slides, like the thingies you have to put in a projector to look at. If your photos are indeed just prints, any flatbed scanner will do the job. And so for the next ?? -- what the heck is a photo converter??? EDIT: Never mind, I just did a google search and found them. They are nothing more than scanners. While they offer the photo scans, they don't give you the flexibilty to scan documents, etc. that a flatbed will. Thanks Tony for your help. It looks like I'm going down to Best Buy and see what they got that I can handle with this old fasion brain of mine. Appreciate all the help from everyone. Maybe I'll share some pics before the day is done. TJ

Good job Brent. Wish I was there today instead of hiding in the house from 117deg. TJ

Amanda, what model printer/fax/scanner do you have? There are many HP's to choice from. Thanks! TJ

Thanks Amanda, we might have had this conversation before. Yea, you might be right but it just popped up in my head again. Things come around every once in a while when the old thinker gets spinning. Thanks for the help but I would still like to hear from someone who has used a photo converter if any. TJ

But...but...you didn't answer this: "First off, are you talking prints or transparencies?" Heck Tony, I don't even know what transparencies means and if old photos are called prints then the answer is prints. This is not easy for me believe me. TJ

Thanks Tony. I thought the converter sounded like a pretty easy way of putting pictures on a SD and then to the computer. I'm not to sharp on this computer stuff. We had a scanner once but the wife threw it out. I just think we didn't know how to use it. I will look in to a scanner/adapter setup and their prices. I doubt I have anything that would be of publishing quality. Just wanted to get some of the old hunt/fish pictures out of the box before they deteriorate completely. TJ

Thanks for sharing. I like the bear colors. It would make for a great looking rug. Good luck with the lion. TJ

I ordered a crosman2104X air rifle thru Dick's Sporting Goods, and received a 2100 air rifle. I have been on the computer for hours to see what the difference, if any, is. I found where they quit making the 2100 years ago. I also found an article that said the 2104X was an augmented version of the 2100. Yes, I had to look up augmented and it said it was an upgraded version but can't find anything different. Can't call anyone from Crosman due to the weekend. Is anyone familar with crosman air rifles? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm just wondering whether to keep this gun since the price wasn't much. Thanks! TJ

I'm not sure how I missed this thread. I could write a book , and maybe I will, on the mistakes and misses I've gone thru over the years of hunting here in Az. Many come to mind but one real quick one is how excited I use to get on opening morning. I had gone thru my pack the night before opening of another archery bull hunt and just knew I had forgotten something to the point I made myself sick. After dry heaves I was on my way. I parked 1/2 mile from the tree stand and was in it way before daylight. I looked everywhere for my release and could not find it. I'm thinking I must have left it in the truck because I have gone all thru my pack several times and it still isn't in there. I climb down and head for the truck. After going all thru the truck I decide it has to be in my pack because I remember having it the night before. Now I've walked 1&1/2 miles back and forth and now it's daylight by the time I get back and climb up in my stand for the second time and desperately go thru the pack for the 5th or 6th time. No release! I'm sick to my stomach and reach into my pocket to get my head net out and there is my release. What a total stupid dumb a$$. TJ

Stanley Fire started Sunday June 26th.
tjhunt2 replied to Coues&Bass's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Stanley, I was afraid to ask but was wondering if you where camped up there and something went wrong. You know I'm just kidding Stanley. I could think of better things to have my name associated with as well. I hope they get the upper hand on this before it gets any bigger. It scares me to think the summer has just begun and we have lost so much. When is your next lion adventure Stan? Hope to see ya at the OE4A banquet. TJ -
Casey, that is a good looking mount Scottyboy did. Congratulations on your success in Africa and having a friend do your mounts is awersome. Thanks for sharing and pass on to the caveman the next time you see him I said his work is great. TJ

I pray that these rains come quick. We don't need to loose any more forest that I think could have been prevented by the forest circus. TJ
