On December 16th Peg and I have decided to host a litle meet and greet get-togther at our house for cwt members and their families. We don't have a big house and it's nothing fancy so don't expect alot but a friendly greeting, hot coffee, hot chocolate, punch, and some finger foods to munch on. If you like you are welcome to bring a finger food to share. You are also welcome to bring your favorite alchohol beverage if desired. I will have a small fire ring with a warm fire. You all are welcome to bring the kids by to see the lights and enjoy some refreshments. We are hoping the weather cooperates and we'll have things set up on the carport like the rednecks we are. lol It starts to get dark by 5:30 so then and any time after is fine. From the 60 go 1 block north on Mesa Drive to Southern Ave. Go west and take the first left on Pasadena and head south till you come to a big Santa standing at 221 E. Hoover Ave. Mesa AZ TJ ps....so I can get a rough head count please let me know if you plan to stop by

Well said Bill! TJ

If everyone will still be just as happy for you then why does it bother you if someone wants to post a +? It has nothing to do with someone being shy but you certainly have the right to your opinion. The score of an animal never has meant crap to me but I don't condem those who thrive on it. What the he!! makes the difference what someone wants to post? jmo

That's pretty awesome right there. On my deer hunt this year I had left my bottom zipper part way open and was awaken at 2am with a skunk in my tent. Not sure how long it was in my tent but it finally left after 10 min of me noticing it. TJ

Peg & I would like to thank everyone who turned out for the x-mas get-together meet and greet at our house. We really enjoyed meeting new members we have never met before and their families. There were some awesome racks brought and great huntin stories told. All the food was great and thanks to everyone for making this a fun evening. Some came as far as Tucson and Prescott Valley. Once again Peg & I thank you all for making this such an enjoyable meet and greet. If it wasn't for Amanda and her web site this would not have been possible. Thank you Amanda! Here's the gang! Peg and I wish you all a Safe & Happy Holiday. Don't forget to keep Christ in Christmas this year. Merry Cristmas! TJ & Peg

Lance, thanks for the pictures. You are the buffalo man for sure. I can't imagine how hard you and your gang works at getting the job done on these hunts. Just awesome! TJ -
Shane, you guys are just awesome. Congratulations to the hunter and thanks for sharing this great looking ram. TJ

Troy, I have been putting in for close to 40 yrs now and I'm beginning to think it just isn't going to happen. It's the only thing that is keeping me from the big 10. It's not a big deal for me to get the big ten but I would like to draw a sheep tag. I've watched you grow up here on cwt and seen the success you have achieved and I'm really impressed with you young man. I don't know anyone who would be pissed at you for drawing this tag. I'm so happy for ya and I think you know how fortunate you are to be so much ahead of the game. If I had known you had this tag I would have been there invited or not. You shot a great looking ram and you are blessed to have a family and so many friends that support you. My hat is off to you. Just awesome!

The other night Dad & I were talking about huntin, like we always do, and I asked him how long has it been since ya shot at a pheasant. His reply was to long ago to remember. I called up Kevin, from AZ Pheasent and Chukar Hunting Preserve, and asked if he was available to meet us in Maricopa with 8 birds in the morning. "How's 9am sound", he asked. After a phone call to Dad, I had his juices flowing thru his veins like he was a whole lot younger than 82. We met Kevin and Karen, his girl friend, at the usual place and then followed them to the field where Kevin would plant the birds for us to hunt. Now some of you are going to say this isn't really hunting and you're right. I do it more for my dog Lexie's training, but this morning was for another reason, and to share another moment with my Dad walking thru the field carrying his favorite 12ga browning shotgun. Hearing him say it brought back memories made my morning. It might have been just walking up on a planted pheasant and shooting it after Lexie flushed it but to Dad it was hunting the old days back in the corn fields of Ohio. Between Dad and Lexie, I don't know who was the most excited. It was another enjoyable moment spent with two of my most loved huntin partners. Here are a couple pictures from yesterday.

I'm not sure this has been posted yet. Our very own cwt member, Tony Mandile, will be awarded the "Outdoor Writer of the Year", for 2011, during the annual Arizona Game and Fish Commission Award Banquet on Jan. 14, 2012. Tony, you have been a great source of information for all of us here on cwt. There's no doubt you have been working hard behind the scene that we don't get to see. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person my friend. Peg and I send our congratulations and our best wishes to you, your lovely wife El, and Hersey throughout the Holiday season. TJ
