Hopefully the wife and I won't miss next year and we can all sit together again. Ammon, glad to hear you won a nice shotgun. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person than yourself for all you donate. TJ

Anyone attend the banquet at Bass Pro tonight? Was wondering how it went. TJ

Good luck on finding the right one. The only one I ever bought new was back in the 70's and it was a bear whitetail for less than $100. I have shot several since but all have been hand me downs I've purchased from friends and one here off cwt. Used bows are much cheaper although I would have a bow shop check it out before buying. Either way let us know what you get. TJ

UPDATED!!! Who in phoenix still makes game meat sausage? 2 i used no longer take game
tjhunt2 replied to hoghntr's topic in The Campfire
I usually do my own processing but a few years ago I decided I wanted something defferent so I took 62 lbs of clean ready to grind elk meat to Von Hanson's. I had some summer sausage and sticks made. It was very good but I about sh!t a brick when I was told it was $400 plus. They are expensive but good. TJ -
When I go in April there are no mosquitoes and the fishing has always been really good. During the later part of April and first of May you have to be careful of the lake turning over which makes the river not as clear to fish. It can be a little tougher catching fish then. Good luck on your trip. TJ

Desert Christian Archers Free Turkey Hunting Seminar
tjhunt2 replied to darrcolburn's topic in Turkeys!
This certainly is one seminar you don't want to miss. Jay and Darr know their turkey hunting and where else could you learn from the best for free. My wife won this raffle and hunted with Colburn and Scott Outfitters in 2014. It was an unbelievable hunt with fist class accommodations. Even if you don't win the grand prize to hunt with them you will walk away with a ton of information that will help you on your next turkey hunt. It doesn't get any better than this. TJ -
Sure looks good Amanda. TJ

Heading over to the San Juan in about 4 weeks from now for a week of fly fishing with a bunch of good friends. A boys trip and unsupervised! I'm not as good as the rest of my friends but I have as much fun. TJ

Congratulations to all of you guys. There is no doubt this was one heck of a good hunt and good times. Phill, I enjoyed every minute of this video while having my morning coffee. Great job on putting this together. I'm certain there was a lot of work in doing so. Thank you so much for sharing this with us here on cwt. It sure had my blood pumping thru the entire video. TJ

Hi Justin, them hats still have what it takes. I'm hoping Amanda finds the time to post on her Women's Javelina Hunting Camp. Somewhere here on cwt is some old post on ones in the past. The weather this year was rain and high winds for the most part making it a tough hunt for the women hunters and their Mentors. My duties this year was to help with cooking and feeding everyone. Not sure what the head count was. There were 3 pigs taken but a couple more missed shots. There were some cwt members and hopefully they will share some pics and there experience with us here. Congratulations on all your success this pig season. TJ

Any information from Outdoor Writer, Tony Mondile, or Bill Quimbly is concerned I say we are fortunate to have them as a member of cwt. They have more knowledge put together than most of us could ever think about having. They are my history mentors of this fine state and if you ever get a chance to spend a little time with either one of them it will be an honor you will never forget. TJ

I'm no expert but over the years I have come to the conclusion that sunny hillsides early morning and late evening are the most productive because the season is in the cooler weather. TJ

Saw this post as well this morning on fb. Hopefully someone calls authorities if they have found this gun. It's the right thing to do. TJ

*Updated W/Pics *My Son Wants to Clean Your Skulls
tjhunt2 replied to rossislider's topic in Youth Hunters
Sean, I just came back from a javelin hunt and for some reason I brought my skinned skull home. My wife said to me, "what are you taking that skull home for?" I really didn't know until now. It would be a pleasure to have your son work on this. I just might have something else in the freezer as well. I will let you know tomorrow. TJ -
This is a nice gun. A friend of mine just showed me this exact gun but in a 357 he bought new. TJ

Really!!!!!!! 78,000 for an air lift???? Talking about taking avantage of insurance companies! Go to Sedona for a ride, up,to 500 dollars a person and going down to Havasupi is a few humdred dollars one way! I could understand emergency airlift 10k and personnel 8k and medical equipment 2k a total 20k. But 78k is high way robbery. But nonetheless glad you had insurance and modern technology to make it back and be ok Thanks! TJ
