Thanks again everyone for all the advise on my selfishness. I guess it's about time to end this post and pull the plug. Peg actually did just that, literaly. I'm sitting here drinking my coffee, looking at cwt, and soon heading out the door what was suppose to be a day of scouting for pigs and she yells " we have a problem". She had just filled the sink with dish water and water is running all over the kitchen floor and into the dinning area. She tells me we have a leak and boy do we have a leak. I should have gotten away sooner. After further inspecting the piping it appears she had loosened the nut so the pipe would blow out with a little water preasure. She has taken this keeping me at home way to far this time. It's her mess to clean up and I'm out of here with my binos. TJ ps....well, I've reconsidered and I'm heading to Home Depot for parts. The things women will stoop to to keep a good man at home. Thanks again for all the replies. It's been fun.

Yesterday started a 4 day weekend for me so Lexie, my lab, and I went dove hunting. It was a great morning even though we only saw 1 dove. The trip home is another story I won't go in to now since it will take away from why I started this post. Last night my wife and I go out for a fish dinner, as we like to do sometimes on fridays. While we're sitting there I say I was getting up in the morning and going glassing for pigs and have scheduled pheasants planted for Lexie to hunt on Monday. That's when she hit me with both barrels. "Can't you just give it a break? Tomorrow is x-mas eve and we have a duck dinner planned for my sister and her husband as you know, so why can't you spend the morning at home watching the Cardinals and relax? I suppose you want to scout x-mas day as well and you never told me you were pheasant hunting on Monday." Then I say, "I'm sure I told you about Monday but then again maybe it slipped my mind, do you want to go?" Ok, you get the picture! Here I sit typing away here on cwt, which is the next best thing to hunting, instead of scouting to please my wife. She's still in bed and the days almost half over 8:15am. Lexie is bored and I can't explain to my dog why we are sitting here looking at each other. I'm sure Lexie can't figure it out either. I got a new Field & Stream I could open but I'm afraid it will just make matters worse. My question to everyone and especially to those much older. After 34 yrs of marriage should I take my wife's advise and take a break or do I have a real problem? Maybe I do need some help and I am selfish so I'm asking for your thoughts. I don't think asking on a hunting forum is so unfair do you. lol

I just love seeing families hunting together on here. Congratulations on your buck with the smoke stick. Not only does this site get you pumped up but it's stories like yours that keep us feeling the same way believe me. Thanks for being apart of this great site Amanda has put together. Good luck to your son on trying to close the deal. TJ -
I'ld say you had a good day. What type of camera was you using to take them pictures? You haven't been taking lessons from our own Doug (redrabbit) have you? Them were awesome pictures and just had to be a real treat to see it in person. There are some who won't believe there are hybrids but I have shot a couple and I'm on your band wagon for sure. Thanks a bunch for sharing your honey hole. TJ

"Score", did you say score? Whatever number you come up with put a + next to it. What a beautiful animal. Congratulations! Awesome to say the least. TJ -
Sounds exactly what I have done but many years ago. I now turn all mine in to sausage I make myself and only wish I could get more meat off one of those pigs. If someone close to me in Mesa shoots one and cares for it properly and gets it on ice right away I will be more than happy to take it off your hands. It's all in the way you care for your meat once it's on the ground. Lots of good advise in this post. TJ TJ, Would like to know what type of sausage you make and see some of your recipes for javi sausage - do you use commercial mixes or your own spice blend? I have used both but lately I have stayed with commercial mixes. Regular sausage mix is good but I prefer hot italian sausage mix. I've bought my last 2 packages from Van Hanson's in Chandler. I debone all the meat and whatever weight I come up with I add that same amount of pork. We use either pork butt or pork loin, whichever is on sale. Then package it in 1lb bags. If it's not hot enough then just add more red peppers. Two more days and hopefully it will be sausage making time for me. TJ
