I would have to agree with Amanda here. You will know when it's the right choice with what time you have left to hunt. My first was a doe with a bow, after many failed stocks, and I was the happiest guy in the world at that time. Good luck and keep learning all there is about these deer and it will finally all fall together for ya. TJ

That's good advise from azslim. I was 21 when I came to az and I had the same problem you are having. Keep after it and it will slowly start to come together for ya. Before you know it you will be picking them deer out with your binos. Keep us posted how you're doing. Good luck and practice alot with your bow. TJ

Man am I glad I inspired you to write this. First let me say I'm glad you're doing alright after having your stent put in. Second, my hat is off to you for all your success over the years on so many pigs. That is an awesome accomplishment and my congratulations to you on another pig this year. Having a bunch of friends staying in your garage waiting on opening day had to have been a good time with lots of stories for sure. Got room for one more? lol Thank you for sharing your hunt with us and your success over the yeas. You're amazing and I would like to meet yo someday and hear some more stories. TJ

First, second, third, or 21st deer that is a very nice buck that I would have shot anytime. Being it's your first even makes it that much special. My congratulations and thanks for sharing your archery hunt with us and welcome to the site brother. Sounds like you have some experience at hunting the way you backed off and gave it some time. Most first timers usually want to follow to early. Great job on finishing him off. TJ

That is just awesome. Congratulations on your first deer. That's a very nice buck no matter how many you've shot. Now go get your pig and post it for us to see. Way to get it done. How about a story to go with it? TJ

That was #34. I killed my first one in 1976 and missed a couple years. TJ

tjhunt2 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Congratulations Dewey on another great hunt. I felt like I was there beside ya as you told your story. There's no doubt you will stick one with your home made equipment one of these days. That is just awesome to say the least and thank you Amanda for posting this for Dewey. TJ -
Congratulations Jason on connecting with a pig with Matt filming. That's just awesome and I can tell by the smile on your face it was another great memory making day with one of your sons. Them are good pictures and thanks for sharing. TJ

That's a big pig you shot Keith. Congratulations and way to stick with the tracking job. I can certainly relate to you missing that buck. It's easy to not do the little things, like looking thru your peep site or anchor wrong, when you are all worked up with excitement. Thanks for sharing your story and picture. TJ

Congratulations Clay to you and your Dad. Those hunts with your Dad are special hunts and they even become more special as the years add up. The memories will last a lifetime but believe me when I say you better have a journal started because the older you get the harder it is to remember those days. Thanks for sharing your pictures. TJ
