Water Catchment Project in 37B - March 8-12 2012
tjhunt2 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Wildlife Projects
Well, I can't fit no more in the truck so I must be ready. Heading out in a few minutes and look forward to meeting a few more cwt members. For those who will be there tonight, I'm grilling up some pheasant and welcome everyone to try some. First come first served. See ya all there. TJ -
You're living the life. Thanks for sharing. It looks beautiful like it probably is. TJ

I tried to get it last night and it wasn't coming in very clear. I usually listen to KNIX or CAMEL but have been listening to RYDE 94.1 out of Globe/Miami the last couple of months. They mix up the oldies with the new which I like. TJ

Extreme AZ Bear Hunts
tjhunt2 replied to CouesBuckhunter's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
The AZGFD states in the bear regulations: No person shall knowingly use any substance as bait at anytime to attract or take bear. Sounds pretty simple to me. TJ -
Thanks for sharing all them trout. They are very nice in size. Brings back memories of my high school days ice fishing a little pond back in Ohio. Thanks! TJ

Thanks for doing the leg work Stephen. TJ

Congratulations to Kolin on his first big game animal. This is an awesome show of support, from the AZ SCI to host this towards the next generation of hunters. Thanks Scotty, Bobby, and everyone else who was involved in this hunt. Darrell, thanks for sharing the story and pictures. TJ

Hope this day is a great one for ya. Happy Birthday Desertbull. TJ

Some of the locks I've seen are not combo locks. By the time you contact someone you don't want to be in there. So where do we draw the line? TJ
-
TJ that's right where I am at. I don't want to start cutting but, this area has good numbers of pigs and a few good mulies. I will give the authorities a try first. Have you delt with the big gas companies before? No, I haven't delt with them. I bet they can be hard to play with. How do you fight someone with so much money?

I have known ranchers who have put locks on State Trust Land and Forest Service Land gates just because they have a lease and they know they don't have the right but they do it anyways. Now, does that give us the right to cut some rancher's lock off? Probably not, but then they don't have the right to lock us out so the games begin because not much chance of any authority being around. Myself, I won't cut a lock because it's not mine but it has pi$$ed me off a few times. TJ

Congratulations Heather and a great job on the mount. It looks really great. TJ

Jim, those who know me know I love pig hunting more than anything else because that's my wife and I's favorite eatin. Sounds crazy but we love it. Your story and pictures were the highlight of my reading today. I haven't told many people but I shot one smaller than your little guy by mistake. I can't imagine the fun you guys are having down south of the border. I'm jealous as he!!. Thanks Jim for sharing. Your post are always some of the best on cwt. TJ Jim, I tried to send you a pm but your box is full. I was just wondering what your gun setup was. I've never been a fan of long range shooting but I'm slowly leaning towards that way. That scope looks awesome. Thanks! TJ

Finally some fishing reports to clean out the air on here. Them Apache bass sure look healthy. It might have been a long day but when you get to spend it with your Dad it's all worth it. So many wish they could. Thanks for posting and I'm going to get the dust shook off my boat this week after seeing these fish. Thanks Brian! TJ

Sounds like a good time was had by all. Great story and great pictures to go along with it. Congratulations to Ashly on her very first pig. That a girl! TJ

Flare the 88 inch Antelope Update.
tjhunt2 replied to Koury Guide Service's topic in Koury Guide Service
Holy Smoke! That thing is awesome to say the least. Congratulations to Brian and Koury Guide service. Thanks for sharing. I can only hope this is my year to draw a goat tag. TJ -
If I have been told correctly, ada isn't going to make a move until their members read the letter ada is suppose to send out to all it's members. That is going to take some time since I haven't seen any letter in my mail box yet. Then they will probably give a time limit as to when a member's reply has to be back by. Then and only then will they make a statement one way or the other as I was told. So everyone just pull up a rocking chair and enjoy the show. Make some popcorn while you're at it and hopefully the show ends soon. TJ

That's a great picture of Sunshine. She appears to be pointing while balancing on one leg. Good job Paul. TJ

Ouch!! Thanks for bringing it up. I'll have to look and see when it's coming up. CouesWhitetail is partly the blame for that blunder but I didn't blame Amanda. I took one for the cwt team and accepted full responsiblity for forgetting our anniversary. TJ

Now that the hunts are winding down I was wondering if anyone has been hitting the lakes. I'm getting the itch to go. Here's a picture of my wife with a couple of her bass from last year taken at Roosevelt. Windy Hill on Roosevelt Lake
