As always Jim, your post are some of my favorites and this one didn't disappoint me either. Looks like a great time on the water. I've caught doubles before but not different species. That is an awesome picture of those two fish. Thanks for sharing all the pictures. TJ

I was sent the survey and wished I had copied the questions. I believe there were only 3 questions. 2 of the questions I thought were trick questions and told them so on a written reply on the back of the survey. It was worded to think you would want to say yes to helping wildlife but actually meant you were agreeing with azsfw. I can see how it might have gotten a 50/50 vote. Something like when you vote on a ballot on election day and it reads one way but means another. I feel it should have just said do you agree or not with what azsfw tried to do. Just my opinion. TJ

I don't want to rub this in but please hear me out. If you just want to hunt elk and don't care what unit then pay attention to the draw odds. I have been drawn 23yrs in a row and it looks like my cc was hit again this year so now it will be 24yrs in a row that I've been drawn for elk. I haven't always been successful but I've taken 15 archery & 2 rifle elk in 23 yrs. Hope this helps you to draw a tag. TJ

Well, after 7 days on Roosevelt and staying home one day I couldn't take it. Up at 2:30am, worked 8hrs and came home and headed for Saguaro Lake with to good friends Ted Bounds & Mark Hullinger. We got on the lake by 3:00pm and I caught this bass off a bed after 2 minutes of fishing and thought game on for us. Well, wouldn't you know it, the wind came up and the bed fishing was done for the rest of the day. We did manage a few bluegills but that's it. Here's the only bass. If the winds stay calm now is the time to hit this lake. Some big fish were on beds but we just couldn't pull it together today. Any drop shot jig in white maybe the best but I caught this one in brown.

It made for a long day but life is to short to sit around and wish we were fishing somewhere. Just go do it while you can because tomorrow just might bring a road block of some kind. TJ

My wife informed me just alittle while ago our bank card said $114 pending from azgfd. Would that mean we have at least 1 tag? I hope it's my wife instead of me. I need a break from elk hunting. TJ

I got to see the news clip after returning home from work at 10pm and want to thank all those responsible for getting air time. Y'all have been working hard at this and I want to thank each and everyone of you. I've been one of the silent ones here but have gotten the word out to all my hunting friends to keep an eye out for what's going on with this and asked them to write and call where their voice is heard the most.
