That was pretty neat watching the bull pull up grass from the bottom of the lake. Reminded me of a moose. Good piece of footage. Thanks for sharing. TJ

I seen this video a while back. Probably on here somewhere. That had to be some heart pounding experience for both of them. Thanks for sharing Amanda. TJ

I thought it was a really good show and I'm jealous. He certainly shows that there is plenty of opportunity to hunt public land here in the USA. I will continue to watch but with the price of gas, out of state tags, and all the little extra cost here and there made me realize I'm not one of the average guys who can afford what many think is average. The quality of his video crew's work clearly shows he is well above the average guy but I'm not knocking him for that. I liked what he is trying to share with the average hunter. I look forward to watching more of his shows. Thanks CEI for sharing. TJ

Thanks for sharing Jay. When I hit the lottery I'm going to join them guys. They look like they are having a great time but there's no doubt they have worked hard to get to where they are so far. TJ -
Thanks for sharing her with us. She sure looks mad that you ran her up that tree. Great picture! TJ

Congratulations on finishing your schooling and have a safe trip. Thanks for sharing your hunts with us over the past 4 years. You certainly had some great success here on hunts and I wish you the same success in North Dakota. I hear there are some good pheasant hunting there. Keep us all in mind and continue to post here on cwt. TJ -

Jason Lewis Bronze Coues Shed
tjhunt2 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I was just thinking about him the other day. I think the last I heard he was moving to the valley but not sure. Jason did a great job on those. Maybe Amanda has heard from him. TJ -
Allen, the political discussion forum is not my favorite forum to reply to only because politics always brings out so much anger in some people. The name calling gets out of hand and I don't like reading the mud slinging that goes on among our cwt members. Politics has a way of making people forget we are on the same team. With that said, I do believe the political forum is a very important tool and is necessary in keeping us informed on issues like HB2072 and the Kaibab. Allen, thanks for being one of the members at the front of this issue and for all your hard work and time you put in to this. Answer to question #1: I was already a member of the AES & ADA. However, I decided to donate my renewal money of the ADA to help with Amanda's upgade of CouesWhitetail.com instead. I feel this site was very instrumental in getting the word out of the HB2072. I also felt cwt did more good towards defeating HB2072 than the ADA dancing around their statement. Do I believe the ADA are a good organization? You bet I do and I incourage everyone to join them but my money is streched thin so that is how I decided what to do with this years dues. Enough said! Question #2: Yes, I need to get more involved with habitat projects. I have helped on a few recently and find it very rewarding. Question #3: If I had the money I would belong to more than I already do. Question #4: I would like to think I have helped maintained/enhanced towards AZ's wildlife and helped a few kids, and some adults, along the way. I certainly haven't done as much as some of you and those who are among you I thank you for that. However, I will continue to do more, in anyway I can, to keep this hunting & fishing heritage going.

My heart goes out to Isaac. That poor little boy. I just don't understand how something like this could happen. I pray Isaac can get thru this trama. I read the story and shared it with my wife. We hope this denist gets what he deserves. Not only would I be after this dentist but the school as well. I would expose everyone's names involved. I pray this never happens to another but I have a feeling there is alot of abuse going on we don't see or hear about. Thanks for sharing and getting this out in the open for everyone to see how this horrible thing could happen. I feel your pain. TJ

The day before was tuff on my fishing skills, at San Carlos, so this day I decided to do one of my favorites. Fishing the bluegill spawn is a great way of having fun on the lake along with filling up with taco filets. According to azgfd the spawn is on and are they right. Dad and I got on Saguaro Lake at 6:30am and soon was having a bunch of fun. The action was constant and Dad was keeping me busy. I tried to make this an effortless day of work for him so I tied all his hooks and removed most of his fish so he wouldn't have to leave his chair. My best reward of the day came on the ride home. Dad said he couldn't remember when he had so much fun catching fish. Here are a few pictures of our day. Dad Having fun One of many doubles These fish are beautiful Dad's big fish of the day Another pic of Dad's big bluegill Back at the fort The work begins Peg finishing up the filets How many wife's will allow this in the kitchen sink? After 1 1/2hrs our reward Ready for the frying pan These are so good Peg does a cracked up job of preparing super The final results after a very long day and well worth it. Fish tacos

Well, it's time for some coffee and then the ride up the hill to Payson. Maybe I will get lucky and get a pic of a lion like James got. Looking forward to getting in the woods this morning. I definitely will have my turkey call with me. TJ

Thanks for posting the pictures James. I'm glad to hear you like the covert extreme. I just loaded mine with batterries and will be hanging it in the morning. I want to get it out before they close the roads in my area. Good luck on getting that lion. I've yet to get one on camera. I had to throw 4 wildview cameras away tonight. They just quit working. Thanks for sharing. TJ

ThomC, yes you are right that there are to many people but that is just the way of life right now. Not sure what you actually mean when you say are you part of the problem or part of the solution. What is your answer to the solution? If we are a problem then what do you think our problem is? Here's what I think. The national forest are suppose to belong to us all but I know there has to be laws to abide by. Most of the forest service people I have talked to say they are only following orders. I agree. It's the higher up in the government that's making these rules that our local forest employees have to follow. If a road is closed then it needs to be posted period. This is why we must change our leadership this next election. Please go vote. TJ
