That time of year again... Taxidermy Convention
tjhunt2 replied to WildHeritageTaxidermy's topic in Taxidermy
Your work is amazing and thanks for letting us know when this is. I will try and make it if I'm not working. Thanks for being a sponsor of cwt. TJ -
Thanks for sharing. You have way more than I have ever found. TJ

You hit it the nail on the head. Most bows now a days shoot great and you just have to find the one that fits you. I highly suggest you go to Archery Headquarters and shoot a few bows. These guys are the best in the business when it comes to helping you get setup. If it's your first time or you don't know bows please don't make the mistake and try and save a few dollars by ordering on line. It's worth it in the long run to let Archery Headquarters set you up. Tell them I sent you. They probably won't remember me but that's ok. lol TJ

Bean bag toss a.k.a. cornhole, the bags are full of corn. Points cancel like horseshoes. Its great fun to play while having a few cold beverages. Thanks. I'm from an earlier era when the word meant something far different. I considered protesting your friend's use of my stylized sketch without my permission if that's what the word still meant. Bill Quimby I come from the same era Bill and couldn't hardly believe the name of this game. It blew me and the wife away. I was wondering if you noticed your drawing of the deer that was put on this game? I'm sure the person hasn't a clue of the definition in our era and that you designed and drew that image. No wonder you had some concerns. TJ

Not a bad idea Shelvin. You just never know. TJ

I wouldn't consider myself an excellent caller but I have called in a few bears in my time. Mostly in late Augest/ Early September. It's a blast! TJ

You're a smart man Stephen. That's a good lesson for everyone. On opening morning years ago I go to climb in my treestand, way before daylight, on opening morning only to find someone sitting there. He said he would move but I said I would just go over to my other stand and sit 50 yrds away. He said his other hunting buddy was there and I said finish the morning hunt since I had another spot but I would be back to hunt this spot in the evening. I killed a nice bull on my backup spot that morning. TJ

Thanks for sharing Scott. That's a beautiful place you have. I would have a pair of binos setup permanently. I hope and pray you're not in any harms way. TJ -
I thought the White Mountain Apache Tribe did a good job with their website. Just saying! TJ

With so many cwt members shooting the Sunrise 3D Shootout, wouldn't it be a blast if we could have a cwt get-together there at the same time some year? How awesome would that be? TJ Great idea! A 3-D shoot, CWT get together............and fishing? Oh yeah! Count me in. All we need is someone to host and pick a camp site. I think it would be a blast. For those of you who haven't hosted it's no big deal. There's lots of help and then it usually goes pretty well. It would be awesome! TJ

Amanda why go all the way to Belize for the birding. It's pretty phenomenal here on the freeway during rush hour traffic. TJ

tjhunt2 replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
Doug, is the 30 ft camping from the road in effect for the area we camped the last couple years? I'm hoping not. Peggy and I are really looking forward to this years. TJ -
same here maybe a little longer. never been without my dad. whats the difference between going in on the san carlos side vs. the whitemnt apache side? we used to go in by george's basin. James Same here James, From what I remember that's where we went in from also. Camped right next to the river and I fly fished while the rest used spinning outfits. We caught lots of fish but can't remember catching any larger than 2lbs. Spent 1 whole day sitting in the tent with 7 guys because of it raining all day. Eating beans for super the night before made it very unpleasent. TJ

Been close to 20yrs since I've fished their. Thanks for the pictures everyone. TJ

Sounds like they need to bait a truck with cameras. Then tie the scumbags behind a boat and drag them around the lake with plenty of pictures for the papers to print their faces and names. After they sink a few times then drag em up on the shore and break all their fingers just for starters. TJ

Doug, Peg just asked me if you sell any of your work to magazines. Your work is amazing. Hope to see ya at Marshall Lake. TJ

James, them are some nice bears. I like the light colored bear. Thanks for sharing and good luck getting that lion. TJ
