    Air Tanker went down

Those fighting these fires put their lives on the line each and everyday they are out there. It's always sad to hear this kind of news. Prayers sent for all family and friends. TJ

    Prayers please.

There's nothing wrong with asking for a prayer request Jason. Prayers are some strong medicine. We all need them from time to time and you can bet I will include Steve and all his family and friends in my prayers. It's times like this that makes us ask how the good lord could let this happen. I wish I knew the answer but I still belive he has a plan for each of us and keep the faith my friend. Thanks for sharing Steve's love for the outdoors and the love he shared with family and friends. God Bless! TJ

    Mormon Lake Area

Kudos to all of you who teach the kids the skills of getting their merit badges. They will remember this forever and inspire some to carry on the tradition. Anytime spent in the outdoors with kids is time well spent. You were in some beautiful country and I can't wait to get up there in a few weeks for the cwt get-together at Marshal Lake. Why not come and join us this year? TJ

Fishing is great in White mountains

How I wish I was up there right now instead of here typing but this will have to do for now. Thanks for the pictures and sounds like y'all had some really good fishing. Those are some pretty healthy trout for sure. I drove passed Nelson Lake last September but never gave it much thought it had trout in it. I guess I should have known. I'll make sure I have my pole with me next trip in that area. Thanks for sharing Robert. TJ
  9. Looking forward to seeing you and Kolin again. Come and camp out this year. TJ

    Spring Bears- Calling

TJ, what call/sound did you use...Curious as that's the time we'll hit 'em here and later since we can go all the way into December, depending... k I use a mouth cottontail circe call. It's the only call I've ever used so I'm not sure how it compares to others but I will tell you it has worked quite well fo me. A bear can show up in minutes or take an hour. I call for at least 45 minutes to an hour. They will continue to come to the call as you call but seem to hang up when you stop so the more you can call and catch your breath the better the results. You will learn to call out the side of your mouth as you breath with the other side. Practice like everything else. TJ

It's not every day you have that kind of excitement. You got some really good pictures for not having your best camera with ya. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see what you get on your trail cam. TJ

    A day on the water

She looks like she's in pretty good shape. I'm glad to see more and more catch and release fish. If you need em for a fish fry then I'm all for it and I use to keep em all. I have changed my ways thanks to some really good fishing buddies of mine. Only keep what you will eat. TJ

    Gateway Outdoors - May Meeting

I would like to thank everyone from Gateway Outdoors for making me feel so welcome last night at their monthly meeting. It was a pleasure to finally meet Terry and listen to him speak on behalf of the Mule Deer Foundation. I wish Terry nothing but the best as new Regional Director. After listening to Terry last night, there's no doubt, he is on board 100% and I'm convinced it's a good thing for us and the mule deer here in Az. Gateway Outdoors was started a year ago and have made big strides in bringing together those who love the outdoors and helping get kids and parents involved with huunting, fishing, camping, and all the other good stuff that's to offer in the outdoors. I encourage everyone to check them out and see what Gateway Outdoors is all about. TJ

    Which Bow?

You hit it the nail on the head. Most bows now a days shoot great and you just have to find the one that fits you. I highly suggest you go to Archery Headquarters and shoot a few bows. These guys are the best in the business when it comes to helping you get setup. If it's your first time or you don't know bows please don't make the mistake and try and save a few dollars by ordering on line. It's worth it in the long run to let Archery Headquarters set you up. Tell them I sent you. They probably won't remember me but that's ok. lol TJ
