tjhunt2 replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
What better way to wkae up to a good fishing article and some great pictures of trout. I know everytime I see one of your post on here it's going to be one I want to be in the pictures. Thanks for sharing another one of them with us Jay. I have never fished the Green but give me 1 more year and i will start my own adventures and no work is going to be in my way. Beautiful scenery and the fish there really look to be in good shape. Good luck on your hunts this year and please keep us posted. TJ -

Stephen, that is one good lookin beagle my friend. I have a warm spot in my heart for them. I owned quite a few back in my rabbit chasing days. I can tell by the look on his face he will be a fine partner. Does he have a name? Thanks for sharing. TJ

I like this post alot. Thanks for sharing. How cute but you tricked him in to doing the laundry before he can hunt. Just not right! Child Sevices might want to get involved. jk TJ

#1. scenario: There are those who put in for a particular unit they want to hunt and it's that or nothing for them regardless of the odds. That's ok! #2. There are trophy hunters who won't settle for nothing less than a unit that holds a great number of high scoring animals. That's ok! #3. There are those who are just plain lucky in the draw. That's ok! This is just my opinion but I would say those hunters, in scenario 1 & 2, know they are taking a risk of not hunting the critter of their choice that year and have a right to express their opinion about how unfair and ridiculous it is that some people get drawn every year, or the sytem is fixed but, respectfully so, I don't want to hear it and that is my opion. If you truely want to hunt every year you can and will usually draw a pig, deer, or elk tag if you pay attention to the odds and choice of weapon. I don't want to sound like I'm bregging here. I just want to help some of you who want to hunt as bad as I do and can sacrifice scenario 1 & 2. I came here in 1972 from Ohio and had never seen a deer in the wild. It took me a few years to figure out this biggame stuff. It was the year of 1976 that I drew a buffalo, antelope, and took 5 of the big 10 that year. I have never been rejected for deer or pig ever and have drawn the last 24yrs straight for elk. Just don't blame those who have it figured out. As for scenario #3, well they're just lucky I guess. TJ

What's this tag?? My friend drew it and said it was a new hunt for this year. Muzzleloader! TJ

Probably the closest I'll ever get to a buck like that is watching Shane's videos. Awsome bucks for sure and thank you Koury Guide Service for sharing with us here. What the heck would we do without CW.com? TJ -
I wished I lived close to where I could glass up bulls like this. You have got some monsters there for your clients. Can't wait to see how it pans out for you this year Lance. Thanks for always keeping us up to date on pictures and for sharing videos with us all. You're a first class act my friend. TJ

Congratulations again Tony. Second choice isn't bad. Not what you thought so I won't mind if you transfer it to me Dad. Your son, TJ

When the waitress brought me another beer I swollowed a wing whole. It's got Hooters beat by a long run. Peg doesn't understand what all the hype is about. See ya there! TJ -
That doesn't work. I tried that and she told every hunter that came by where I was sitting. I lost count after 6 of them walked in on me. My next girlfriend won't be a blonde. TJ

Don't hide the key. I once hid my key under a rock and it took me over an hour to find which rock it was. I had walked a ways before I did this stupid thing and was at a panic with 5 miles to walk in the dark before I remembered. It would have been a long night. Put it in your pack. TJ
