That was a great writeup and you got yourself a dandy of a bull. Good friends are a blessing and you certainly have one in Packer. Good luck on your wife's hunt and she does indeed deserves to connect on a cow for holding the fort down. You sure made a bundle of memories on this hunt. Thanks for sharing Growler with us. TJ

It's called Hunting, not Shooting for a reason....
tjhunt2 replied to jmwarren65's topic in Antelope Hunting
It goes to show you don't have to kill to have a good story. Sorry to hear you didn't kill but sounds like things just didn't go your way this time. Been there done that many times but it's all about doing the right and ethical things when no one is around. Thanks for sharing and the huntin gods will be kinder to you next time I'm sure. Good things come to those who deserve them. Good luck next year and I look forward to reading another one of your stories. TJ -
I'm pulling for your daughter so keep us posted. Take lots of pictures and hope to see you back on here soon. TJ

Thank you Jake for sharing another one of your great videos with us and a big thank you to TLO for making another hunter's dream come true. As Peg and I watched this video we could feel the excitement jumping out at us thru the sceen. We're not sure who was more excited Debbie or Sam, her husband. Peg and I know Debbie personally and let me tell you this couldn't have happened to a more deserving person that I know. Congratulations! TJ

tjhunt2 replied to m77's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
m77, you certainly went from one extreme to another. I'm not sure where you are going with this post. Sorry I can't figure you out. Thanks for posting anyways. TJ -
Finally we get to read the story and boy is it a good one. I felt like I was right there with you Deb. I've read alot of hunts on cwt and this has got to top them all. Many thanks to Lance and all his guys that makes Timberland Outfitters what they are. You guys are a first class act. I knew this post was coming sooner or later and I have been like a kid at Christmas waiting for it. Thanks Debbie and thanks for sharing it with us. What a beautiful antelope. Oh yea, CONGRATULATION! Solution to Water Hole Problems/Confrontations
tjhunt2 replied to m77's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
m77, I think it's great that you keep trying to come up with a solution to the problem you think everyone is having but respectfully so you aren't going to. I see you are 55 yrs old so I assume you haven't been in az very long or you just took up hunting not to long ago. The reason I say this is there was a time when you had to be 1/4 mile from an azgfd water catch but that got changed some time back so throw that game solving idea out the window. You are mistaken when you say everyone is having confrontations over treestands and ground blind disputes. I know lots of hunters, including myself, who have hardly ever been in or seen a confrontation. JLW's statement " so how you handle yourself says alot about you" is a good statement to remember when someone is in your treestand or ground blind. Let me pass on what I've learned over the years from experience. First come first serve might not be perfect in all situations but it's as good as it's going to get. Many of the hunters who have disputes/confrontations usually bring it on themselves thru their knee jurk reaction to someone beating them to a spot. A handshake and introduction usually is all that's needed to avoid this. It won't work 100% of the time, because there are stupid people , but it has worked pretty good for me over the years. TJ -
Did you know it's illegal to use dogs for hunting elk? Just kidding as you know. Congratulations on an awesome bull. TJ
