That's awesome Brian and thanks for the report. You did much better than we did. Wish I could have been there today. If you get a chance try and show a picture of your setup. I'm sure it's different than what Peg and I use. We tie on a barrel swivel and add about 12" of 6lb test with a #6 hook and then place a split shot, size determines how much the wind is blowing, just above the swivel knot. Put on an old fashion nightcrawler and drift it just off the bottom. Nothing fancy with our cheap zebco rod & reels. Thanks for sharing your day with us and for the pictures. Glad you started this post Coach because I too need some good pointers. I know live bluegills are the norm for flatheads but a friend of mine catches most of his flatheads on nightcrawlers. He uses some of the catfish spray on them as well. I just can't seem to get out after dark after an all day fishing. Dark is usually my down time with a cold one sitting around a nice camp fire. I've been fishing Saguaro the last couple weeks and there isn't a bluegill to be seen right now. Not sure how Rosy's bluegills are doing but it might be a good idea taking extra worms just in case. First of all, on behalf of my wife and I, I would like to thank Jay, Darr, and Daniel for putting on a great seminar last night and for the opportunity of someone to win a Goulds turkey hunt which my wife, Peggy, was fortunate enough to win. The information they shared with us was more than I could have imagined. From the time they greeted us at the door to the very end was nothing short of first class. To say Peggy was excited is an understatement. I never saw the post on cwt about the Hunt Giveaway, just knew there was a turkey seminar because of Amanda telling me. I had Peg fill out my card for the drawing because my pencil wouldn't write so I had no idea what the drawing was even for. When they called Peg's name I jumped up out of my seat and yelled no way. Then as Peg walked up for her winning ticket I asked Amanda "what did she win"? lol Peg is still on cloud nine this morning and has called everyone she knows. The little 6yr old girl who drew Peg's name is Amelia, daughter of Brian aka My Rights As An American on cwt and is a good friend of ours. Thanks Amelia you did good.
