  1. Here is a picture of my 2010 early season coues. He had a loose part of antler on his left side only held on by his hide. It kind of looked like a chinese throwing star. Had he had a mirror image antler on his left, he would of scored a little over 108". Is it hunting season yet?

    300 Weatherby Mag

I actually preferred the 300 wby over the 30.06. Its still got a little kick, but it is manageable. A nice recoil pad is called Shooters Friend. Good luck and congrats on winning the rifle. Mike

    Truck for sale

Getting ready to list my truck, but wanted to give any members first crack at it. It is a 2005 Dodge 2500 Cummins, silver in color. This is the 5.9 liter with a 6 speed manual transmission. Other features include 4X4 SLT package, gooseneck hitch, approx 96,000 miles, gauges on pillar, and I have done batteries, tires, and a clutch in the last year. This truck is a great tow vehicle. It also has a Superchips tuner installed and is currently getting 23 mpg average between highway and city. I only have this photo sized for the forum, but PM me with your email and I will send some more photos. Asking $21,500 but will entertain serious offers. Call and leave a message and I'll call after work, 602-430-5249. Thanks for looking. Mike

    Looking at 5th wheels

I have to agree with tjhunt2, a goose neck conversion is an awesome option. I honestly think my 32' tows better with the goose neck than the fifth wheel style. If you are mechanical enough to put a goose neck hitch in yourself, you can get the hitch and trailer conversion cheaper than a fifth wheel hitch. Happy shopping. Mike

    Rifle rest

Two weeks ago I went to the craft store and found Styrafoam pellets, went home and emptied the sand out of my Caldwell shooting bag and stuffed the styrofoam in instead.. It has gone from 6 pounds to 9 ozs. It has a nice loop on it so I can strap it to my pack. Along with my Harris bipod, I have made shots out to 725 yds. Very happy with this set up. Mike
