Photo of my Mexico Buck

That was a great story, congrats. I have not yet been south of the border, but I am really looking forward to it. Thanks for gettin me all pumped up. Mike -
Well I just got my scope back from being rebuilt for my 300 wby and went to the range to sight it in again. The first five rounds @25 yds were tight at 1" low and 1.5" right. I clicked up 3 and right 5. At 100 yds, my next shot was 11" high and 8" left. Next shot was 12 high and 2 left. Looked down the barrel and there was a ton of copper again. Is this a problem with the ammo or what? I about to permanantly store it and use my 257wby for my elk hunt. I've gone through $150 in bullets and its no better than before. Could it be a scope problem even though it is basically brand new? Any advice can only help. Mike

Nice photos RR. How close were you when you took them? Looks like you were close enough to jump on and go for a ride. Mike

A friend of mine who has been an avid hunter for over 25 years brought up this idea. What if hunters were only allowed to apply for one species per year? So if you were drawn for elk, you could not apply for deer or sheep. This would make people decide what hunt is more important and then instead of one hunter getting three tags, three hunters get one tag. This will increase opportunity, but AZGFD will still have to get a clue to get tag numbers where they need to be. This idea has some good points and I wanted to know everyones opinion. Thanks guys and girls. Mike

I was just wondering if anyone has heard any info on the possibility ot the forests being closed because of fire threat. I was planning on hauling the fifth wheel up to 5b south next saturday to reserve my spot, but I would hate to get it up there just to have the forest closed for the Memorial Day weekend. Thanks, Mike
