Thanks for the clarification Doug, I thought I was close. Mike

What I was told is that a Submoa is guaranteed to shoot 1/2" @ 100 yds, a regular vangaurd is 3/4" @ 100 yds. Put a swarovski TDS scope on it and it won't make a difference. Mike P.S. I have a 300 Weatherby vangaurd for sale.

Looks like I'll be gettin a little check from azgfd for lope again, guess with a bull and deer last year and a turkey this spring, not too much to complain about. Good luck to all of you who were drawn, there should be some great stories this year. Mike

I have a Weatherby Vanguard in 300 Wby for sale. It has a Pentax Whitetail Unlimited 6.5-20x50 mounted on it. I just no longer have any use for it. Whole thing cost $1100, will take $700. If you reload, I also have some brass for it. It also has a "Shooters Friend" butt pad. Thanks Mike

I have a buddy who has the G2, and he told me that it works great for bowhunting and short range stuff. He didn't think it was all that great for long range shots. I've never seen the footage myself, just what I heard. Mike -
Lunar eclipse tonight!

We got a pretty good view of it in Surprise. I couldn't get any good picture though, but it had a nice red hue to it that made it real difficult to see through the telescope as there was not enough light. It was a cool thing to see, worth going outside and freezing my butt off. Mike -

salt and feed no more in 2009
257wby replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Does this mean we won't be able to supplement the deer's diet, or that we can't hunt over a food pile? If they make it illegal to feed them as a source of nourishment, it'll just drive the numbers down with the success rates that we are currently achieving. Just my $.02. Mike -
I'd shoot too narrow and not tall enough if thats what that is. Congrats on a great buck. Seven late tags, who do you know? Mike
