Ive been wanting to pick up some 15's and have been looking through multiple brands and I have come across a problem. My eyes are to close together for all but a select few brands and so far i have narrowed it down to a few one being the Vortex 15-56's. These are on the edge of actually fitting my eyes and before I make a decision I wanted to see if there is a place to rent binos for a week or so. Id like to look through them for a couple days to make sure there not going to give me a headache. Any help would be appreciated. Jay

If someone says he has seen an "eastern" whitetail roaming within our borders, he was either 1.) drunk, 2.) totally ignorant, or 3.) a world-class fibber. Bill Quimby I know there are no easterns in AZ.............and Im drunk!

My only suggestion is that WHEN you kill this buck is to preserve the velvet fast. The blood under that skin goes bad fast and stinks to high HE!!. I shot a buck up in Utah a few years ago and had it sit for a few days before the drive back and the smell could peel paint off the walls. I was told that you can inject mineral spirits under the skin to dry up that blood. I have also put them in the freezer for about a year and freeze dried them. Good Luck!

I was actually making the kids lunch and looked out to see a few Antelope out across the road. Got my glasses and saw a descent buck with them so I grabbed the camera and put the telephoto lens on to hopefully get some descent pics. They all had bedded down so I stayed low and got to about 100 yrds of them when I saw they all stand up. I snapped a few pics but they were still a ways off so I just started walking slowly towards them. They wouldnt let me get any closer than about 90-100 yards and would jog back aways and turn around and stare at me. I had gotten to the point were they had been laying down and figured the show was over considering I wasnt getting any closer. Then I looked only a few feet away and saw they two tiny sets of ears stickin out of the grass. I was actually about 6 feet from them when I took the pics. I got my pics and slipped out, and started walking back, shakin my head appreciating an awesome experiance. Got back to house and saw mama come back and swoop them up.

With a little help from the moon and adjusting shutter speed. Thanks -
I think a lot has to do with deer densities also. Back east larger concentrations of bucks create more competition between them making calls more effective. I heard that like most calls sometimes they come running sometimes they go running.

I was wondering if things had slowed some as well, considering the economy and slow down in construction.
