Sounds like a great hunt. I made a few trips up there and have to say it is a blast. Gonna try and head back next year. The grouse pics just make me remember how those thing can scare the crap out of you when you kick one up. Especially in the middle of a stalk! Thanks for posting Jay

That would have been the best birthday gift when I was that age! Heck that would be great now! Oh and just FYI my birthday is 7/6! Great pics Lance! Looks like you guys had a great time. Back in college we used to hike down just above Navajo Bridge and slay those fish. I need to get back there. Jay

Well the me and the fam packed up a couple weeks ago and headed to the Telluride area for some camping and fishing. I absolutly love this part of CO and am amazed at the country up there. He had a great time and got in a little fishing in between the rain. Camp was at 11,300 feet and we got in at 11:30PM on Thursday night. We woke up to this in the morning. I hiked up the hill above camp and got this shot. We were camped on the peninsula on the top lake. The lower lake Maty and I getting a little fishin in. We fished for about an hour when a G&F office came up to check my liscence and tell me that the this lake had been winter killed this year . Oh well, cant complain when you have views like this. We headed down to another lake and in between the rain i caught a nice little brook and the kids got a few rainbows as well. Conner having fun fishin We headed into town one day and the kids got to ride the Gondola which they thought was awesome. After that we hiked up to to Bridal Falls at they end of town to cap off the weekend.
