It makes since that this would be your first choice as the December 36B hunt is one of the best ones going.
-
As I know it 111, 3rd, 4th, and 5th choices are given out to the left over tags that were not given out on the first go around with the all of the applicants 1st and 2nd choices. It is not possible for a person to get a 36B December hunt on a third choice since there is way more people asking for this hunt as a 1st or 2nd choice than there are tags.

TRAIL CAMERAS ARE ILLEGAL!!!!

I received a local OHV club newsletter yesterday and this was in it and kind of pertains to this thread and the AGFD meeting thread. The article originated out of a National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council newsletter, author unknown: People Relations 101 (Land managers are people too) People are people regardless of the uniform they wear or the job they are hired to do. The way people are spoken to, written about, and treated affect how they work. While job description and law may specify what an employee is required to do, they do not guarantee an employee?s enthusiasm or willingness to go that extra mile. ?Please?, ?how? can I help?, and ?thank you? are great tools for getting what you need when you need it, and keeping working relationships positive Whether spoken or written, communication is often spread beyond your intended audience. An activity flyer can show up in a lawsuit, on your local recreation officer?s desk, or in the office of an elected official. Always consider; can what you put in print come back and bite you? A humorous cartoon to club members may be offensive to your local land manager. How receptive will a recreation planner be to your proposed new trail project when your previous club newsletter ridiculed them or their agency? When communicating by written work always consider: ? Does the content convey the level of professionalism that you want to be recognized for? ? Does the content jeopardize any future working relationship? ? Does the content clearly and honestly represent your actions? -
The muzzleloader only hunt lists 35A, no 35B execept in Ft Hauchuca. I don't know if there are any mullies in 35B???

When I was doing my road inventories this year, the road to Landsman camp is closed to private land. Also there is a new updated 2003 series forest service map which is better than the old one. It also shows the new boundary on the north side of the Santa Teresas with the reservation. The reservation got those sections of forest land which cherry stemed into the reservation.

It is difficult to give you the advice on where to hunt since I don?t know what type of terrain or vegetation that you like to hunt in, or how you hunt. Some people might like to hunt big mountains with big canyons, and others may like to hunt rolling hills. Some might like to hunt the thick oak and manzanita, and some may like open areas with ocotillo and mesquite. It all depends on your personal preference. The only thing that I can tell you is to get maps, and get out and drive and find where you can get into and where you can?t, access is a big issue. Find areas that look good to you and meet your hunting style. Getting into more difficult areas will usually mean fewer hunters to deal with. I believe deer can be found all over and most large canyons will have deer in them.

I am in the market for a bow too, I am looking at a PSE firestorm. PSE is made right here in Tucson and they have a proshop right there at the factory. They are located near I-10 and Grant.

AZ GAME & FISH MEETING

I would prefer to do it over the internet since they use prison labor to input the snail mail apps. Since we have to put social security numbers on the app, I never liked prisoners having access to my number. -
I would think there would be a lot of access issues with all the private land around the Mules.

270, Although I am not an LEO, but I wear the same green uniform in the summer time. They just have a different badge and wear a gun. Trufletch and AZGuide are correct in saying that it is the individual that makes those kinds of decisons on how they want to deal with the public. It is true that common courtesy and common sense has been lost to some people, but not all have lost it. -

There was all kind of comments that were submitted. They were written down on large sheets of paper, and then hung on the wall. Then towards the end, each person was to give votes on there three favorite comments. The two I remember that had almost everyone raise there hands on was to make each person buy a license before they apply, and make everyone take the hunter safety course. There was a few other comments that had a bunch raise there hands, but I can't remember what they were. -
I would think deer would see camo without a UV blocker more than blaze orange with the UV blocker. I think it's a personal preferance. Deer will usually see you when they detect your movement or hear you. If thats the case it doesn't matter what your wearing.

TRAIL CAMERAS ARE ILLEGAL!!!!

In three years those guys probably won?t be there. Most of the people who work for the Forest Service are not from Arizona, especially the administrative types such as Supervisors and District Rangers. These people come in, they don?t know the land, they don?t know the people, and they don?t know the culture of the community. They come in and make decisions and changes that affect the people in the community around them. Then they leave and we have to live with their mistakes. There is no leadership training for these guys; they are bureaucrats that have moved from one place to another. Glad you got that taken care of. -

I stand corrected, but I think you will win in court, $500.00 for trail camera is ridiculous. -

Yes Bud Light is it, 12 years ago, 90% of the cans were regular bud and Michlob. I guess even the slobs have gotten health consious. To answer your question, you do have to have a permit to dump ashes on the Forestand and even in the Pacific Ocean if it's within a certain distance to shore. If you are guiding for money, you need a permit, but if your guiding to help a friend out with no money invoved, there is no permit needed. Anytime public lands are used for a comercial or consumptive use, a permit is needed. So long as a trail camera stays less than 14 days I don't see an issue. It's just like camping, You can set up a huge camp trailer with all the amenities, but everthing needs to be gone within 14 days.
