Winchester Model 70 Super Shadow (Blued) with aftermarket stock Rifle is in good shape with a few minor dents/scratches on the stock. There are about 250-300 rounds through the barrel. The aftermarket stock is a Boyd’s thumbhole laminate with a pepper finish and a blind magazine (minor cosmetic damage on the bottom of the blind magazine). I also have the original factory stock. Both stocks are glass bedded at the action and the fore-ends are free floated for the barrel; from the lug to the end of the fore-end. I will throw in Remington full length sizing dies, cases (~50-60), 1,000 large rifle magnum wolf primers, and some bullets (~ 50 Hornday 162 grains SST and ~ 50 midway 162 grains spitzer BT) at no extra charge! The trigger is pretty crisp and set around 2.5-3 lbs. The rifle shoots 5 shoot groups at 100yrds 0.5-0.9 inches fairly consistently. I confidently shoot 9” steel plates out to 550 yards consistently. The rifle is equipped with a Nikon 6-18X40 buck master (1/8” adjustments and sun shield tube.) I am selling the rifle because I am building a complete custom rifle, nothing wrong with it. I take excellent care of and clean the rifle constantly. Thanks for looking and feel free to call or email with any questions: 928-713-6470 or steward24@gmail.com Thanks, Mike Steward I live in Casa Grande but commute to Tucson daily. i do not have any pictures. the tonneau cover is now off the truck, but i could send pictures of the gas tank if you would like? the tank does not have a pump, it has a ball valve on one side and is set up to gravity feed the main tank (it worked well for me for a long time).

I have harvested a few with my bow and prefer to shoot a three blade at the base of the neck; it is either a clean miss or a dead bird. I got one opening weekend this year, he did not take a step. I also prefer to shoot at them when they are walking away as their eye sight is amazing and they know how to dodge those arrows. Good luck.

Well I have been waiting 15 years to take an AZ elk and when I heard aobut the over the counter hunt I could not resist. I shot this bull on new years day and well it might as well have been april 1 becuase when I got up to him i was a little dihearted because i thought i had shot one of the 6 points that i had been chasing all morning. it was thick country and after jumping two decent bulls five times i told my self just to shoot next time, if i messed up it would not matter because it was an any elk hunt. so i shot the next time i jumped them and low and behold this is the trophy i took home.

If you like to spot and stalk then I would recommend a whisker biscuit rest or the pse drop away. I think they are the best. Have fun!!! -
Best Choice for Varmint rifle
steward224 replied to az4life's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
I think both the .22-250 and the .223 are great calibers for that but my favorite varmint gun is the .243. Its flat shooting and you can reach out and touch those little guys and yotes at further distances and its always nice to have a back up coues rifle just incase something happens. -
Small game hunting
steward224 replied to GameHauler's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Do you get that at the grocery store? Never heard of it I am sorry it is not spearmint oil, it is concentrated peppermint oil. I buy it at ace hardware. It is made by victor and they have several formulations. I can't recall which one I use but if you read the back of the can you'll figure it out. I have not had any pack rat problems since I started using it. Just spray your engine compartment every two to four days. Hope this helps. Mike
