    atv street legal ticket

Dang, it's a shame that you might have to have some knowledge about what you're doing for recreation, whether it's boating, hunting, fishing or quading. This is not a brand new law that just came about, warnings have been givin out for some time now. It's just like any other civil citation some times you get a warning and sometimes you don't. I think that most people who do any kind of recreational sport have an idea of what the laws are in that activity, and if they don't they should. When you go boating, should you get a warning for no life vest, registration or fire extinguisher? Should you get a warning for not having steal shot while duck hunting or fishing without a license just because you have never been warned? Ignorance is not a defense to the law. Cop's get lied to daily by all kinds of people, they don't know you and don't have a list of everyone who has received a warning for every little infraction. Sometimes you get a warning and sometimes you don't that's the way it goes, you're in violation and should man up to that. Who was the offeicer? Maybe more people on here have had a run in with him/her. If you have a complaint about how the officer treated you then you should make a report with the Sheriff's office. I don't agree with a lot of laws but I try to obey them, and keep up to date on new laws regarding things that pertain to me and my activities.

I've glassed several lions up around that noon hour, I don't think it's uncommon for them to move around at that time.

    Hounds

Leave the dog alone, it maybe a few days but he'll be found. Don't take a dog looking for a reward either, have some ethics. I think everyone has had a dog taken some time or another and usualy it sucks. You end up driving all over and looking for a dog for days just to find out he's in some house in Phx days later when you get a phone call. Tracking collars are on the dogs for a reason, if the dog doesn't have a tracking collar try the number but in a reasonable time frame.

    the claw

$180, WOW, WOW!!!! Very proud of it. Looks like it would work great, but for a lot less money you can make those yourself. Buy a $20 gun rest remove the clamp and attach a plate. You also loose the ability to use your tripod, not a big deal if you have another person with you that has one. If you're by yourself it's nice to leave your optics locked in on what you're shooting at. I see the benefit for the hunters that have a tuff time locating animals in the scope, you could do it for them, but if you have the time to set that thing up you have the time to get rock steady on a rest on a pack or rocks.

    Oops!

That sign is just silly. I leave notes on my tree stands with my name and number and have had very good luck when hunters have called me. I've always had hunters call and ask what I'm hunting and when. Likewise I ask them and we work it out, instead of all showing up at the same time or trying to get there at midnight to beat the next guy. I've killed 2 coues bucks off of one stand that another hunter also killed a coues buck and a bull. This was with him sitting in the my treestand that I hung, he sent me pics on his phone and e-mail. It has worked out great, working together with this guy instead of against him in a race for the stand or spot. I also ran into a guy and his wife they were setting up a treestand a couple tree's away from mine. I offered up my stand to save them the work and another stand in the area, they accepted and killed an elk the first day, got a thank you call from them(number and name on the stand). I guess I'd rather talk with someone than have the rat race and get screwed with by someone during the hunt. I think elk season has to be the worst. I've seen some crazy things by some people I will leave unmentioned. If you have the chance to talk with someone that is hunting in the area you are hunting, take the opportunity and do so, and try and be honest just my opinion. I've had archery elk hunters park within 20 yards of my truck and see me standing at the front of my truck and just ignore me. Just get out get their stuff and take off after bugles. Needless to say makes for a tuff hunt and usually nobody gets an elk. It's always worked out for me but I don't leave notes like that joker. He's looking for trouble.

    I'm out

Dis-respectful to the animal??? Now THAT'S funny!!! I suspect that deer doesn't give a rat's 'you know what' whether he or any of his brothers are in the book!!! How many guys do you know that enter deer in a book to 'honor the deer'.... Seems like they're mainly stoking their own ego by entering an animal that they killed in the book, not the deer's IMO..... Of course you know what they say about opinions! S. Well said, seems to me all the books are good for is EGO. Why would I pay money to enter an animal I harvested into some record book??? Unless I need to support that ego. No thanks, I hunt for the fun of it and because I love being outdoors, not the recognition for killing a big animal. To much of the hunting scene now is wrapped up in score and size, haven't you guys heard that "size doesn't matter", at least thats what my wife keeps telling me.
  14. Great bucks, last years buck I don't think is the same buck. Point's look to different. That tree stand looks pretty low.

    POT GARDENS IN THE FOREST

I was in the one in Woods Canyon 2 weeks ago and no weapons or ammo was found in the 2 camp sites, but 5 UDA's got away like spider monkeys out of that canyon. They may have had some weapons on them? Grows are more likely going to be from Fossil creek ( Calf Pen ) East along the rim, due to the springs and water. These guy's were running 4 gas water pumps and pumping from the pools of water in the canyon, unlike most that use gravity to water. Never know be careful.
