What finish on the action? I'll take it with the Krieger as long as it isn't the coarse sandblasted SPS/ADL finish.

Which LRAB, the 129 or 142? Thanks!

Primos Ivory plate and Top pin for finesse.

My wife hit the jackpot and pulled an early rifle bull tag in Unit 10 this upcoming Sept. She is left handed/left eye dominant and up until now, she has been shooting RH rifles left handed. I'd like to surprise her with her very own rifle built for Southpaws. I've looked around locally, but pickings are slim. I can always special order something, but I figured I'd ask here first. There's a gunshow in town that I'll check out tomorrow as well, but I'm not too hopeful. I'd prefer a LH Rem 700 long or short action with a standard boltface (.484") that I can rebarrel to a .260 or 6.5-06, so caliber isn't important. I'm open to Savage, Tikka, etc. as well. Please let me know what you have! Thanks! Schmitty

I've been shooting 300 gr SST'S out of my TC behind a stout load of Blackburn 209. While I prefer to chase bulls with my bow, 2 friends have borrowed my MZL for the past 2 unit 8 cow hunts with quick clean 1 shot kills. Both were pass throughs if I remember right. I think you will be fine using them for most anything that walks in AZ.

Find a used hoyt Katera XL with the cam &1/2. Adjusts to 32"

Buddy just shot a bull in the shoulder and only got 11 measured inches of penetration. The broadhead broke off at the threads and the shaft fell out. Shot was 55 yards with a 100 gr chisel tip GD on a 450 grain Easton ACC @ 285 fps. Probably a great BH for deer, but I don't think I feel comfortable with using them for elk after last week's experience.

Which gravedigger? The chisel tip or the cut on contact? Congrats on your bull!

Last January, I sent 3 (2 were mine and one was TAM's) frozen coues capes to the Wildlife Gallery to be tanned so that I could eventually get around to mounting a couple of my better Coues bucks. I received a call from them stating that my box arrived damaged and that my capes were missing. Follow up with the USPS proved useless. As hunting season is here again, I'm looking for a couple of capes from 90"-110" deerto purchase so that I can get these bucks up on the wall within the next year. Thanks! Schmitty

I've got a couple ZA3 3-9x40's that I picked up cheap from Doug a couple years back. They've held zero and the glass is pretty nice. Factory turret would work in a pinch, but is far from ideal. Save up for a Zeiss Conquest HD5 with the target turrets. Looks to be the best bang for the buck in a LR hunting scope. Schmitty

Fellow CWT members: For those of you who don't know me, my name is Craig Schmitt and I am a FF/Paramedic with the Prescott Fire Dept. As most of you know, we lost all but one of of our Type 1 Interagency Hotshot Crew on 6/30/13 when they were burned over on the Yarnell Hill Fire. Tonight, all of the local conservation groups have banded together to put on a "mega banquet" to raise funds for the families of the fallen. It should be an incredible event, with over $250,000 worth of hunts, fishing trips, guns, etc. donated to the event. I would encourage all of you to make it up to Prescott Valley tonight to attend. Details regarding the event can be found at: www.yarnell19banquet.com. Obviously, many of you will not be able to make the trip up due to other obligations. However, you can still participate and I would like to invite all of you to sign up to bid in the live auction which will be streamed online. There are some fantastic items up for bid and every dollar raised goes to help support the families. Information on how to sign up for the auction can be found at: http://www.worldliveauctions.com/servlet/Search.do?auctionId=726 Thanks again to everybody for their incredible generosity and support.
