aztrophytakers posted a topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Posting for a friend. 11/12 year old German Shorthair. Good hunter. Still in good shape with many miles left. No time to hunt anymore. Call Daniel for more info and to set up a meeting 520-474-3424. Located in Marana. Thanks for reading. This post will not be checked again or responded to until dog in relocated. Good Hunting... Edit- Dog has been used mainly on quail, some dove and a few pheasant. Dog has age but will still hunt most people into the ground. Thanks again. -

What do you think about the BP system?
aztrophytakers replied to 2 Full Curls's topic in Antelope Hunting
I think with the high demand on some of the top hunts like Strip deer, early rifle elk, Antelope, ect, that they should be treated like Sheep. Once drawn your out for 5 years, if you kill your done for life. Again, ONLY the top hunts by draw statistics. That would be as close to fair as we could get. -

Acessing Public Land through Private Property
aztrophytakers replied to Str8Shot's topic in The Campfire
Your post is rediculous. Try being on the other side of the coin. You try to scrape out a living raising cattle and have to deal with cows getting shot with both guns and bows or worse one your best horses. Storage tanks being shot full of holes draining them and droughting out your cattle. Gates being left open and causing you weeks of work in one night when 300 fresh weaned calves go thru it. Maintaining the water sources that allow the game to exist in the first place, all with your own money. Trash left everywhere for you to pick up if you don't want to look at it. Awfully selfish point of view to blame a rancher for locking HIS private property to prevent having to deal with the few ignorant a$$es that ruin it. Me me me!! What about him?? -
Amanda- Just made a donation but missed the place too specify it was for Josh? Please make sure it goes to the right place...

I agree with this. I think it would be a great idea and it would save a bunch of deer as well... -
The Strip can be a daunting place for people that have not been there. I guess what it boils down too is what kind of buck will make you happy with your Strip tag. It is really as simple as this- you will get out of it what you invest in it. Now whether that investment means your time or your money that is up to you, but if you want to harvest one of the big nasty giants that make the Strip famous then you are going to have to invest one or the other. Otherwise you are relying on luck and that is a big gamble.

The definition of"Trophy Hunter" written above is very ignorant and way off base. Most all my friends as well as myself could be classed as trophy hunters and I know of no crowd more about helping both the young and the old and perpetuating our beloved sport in a positive manner.

In short the reason the AZGFD was conducting the survey in the middle of your hunt is that they are a bunch of braindead vapid fools with no common sense. I wholeheartly agree they should be ticketed!!!

The 36 units are great units for those that like a little added "adventure". If you are easily shaken or have a family of 6 to provide for, hunt somewhere else. I am more upset with the AZGFD for alloting so many dang tags in those units and keeping them shot down for the almighty dollar.
