I love baseball!!!! D-backs let me down yesterday! S. -
Big Lake for sure! Also, if you're staying in Greer be sure to stop at that little store on the right before you get to the first bridge (I think it's a motel too.....). They might be able to tell you if they're biting on anything at the Greer Lakes..... Good luck! S.

Wow Coach! Thanks for the report. Sounds like the river is coming back nicely! S.

Really??? Are you a midget, or what??? Your hands barely fit 3/4 around when holding them. And check-out those swords! Two words: Length and MASS! Thanks for sharing with the site! S.

Don't know about the best place overall, but I know I had an AWESOME whole, fresh butchered, scored and deep fried Red Snapper from Ranch Market (Asian market) on 44th Street South of 202 (Phx) today! Nice fresh fish case where you can pick your fish (Snapper, Pampano, Jack, etc.....), then they butchered it in front of us and immediatly deep fried it whole right there on the spot! A little light salad and Asian sauce along the side! YUM! If you're ever in the area, I recomend it! S.

Awesome! Good to see a cw.com member get propped-up! I'll have to try it sometime when I'm down that way. Here in the Valley, lots of options. +1 on Spinattos! I live in Central Phx, and Bianco opened-up a place in Town and Country center that is my latest favorite. Nice scratch-made pastas and custom sausage from Schriners. Good stuff! S.

Dirty tactics once again from the AZGFD! Now you'll know why to never trust them

Hello All: Amanda is out in the field studying owls and hence hasn't had the pleasure of following this thread. She pays myself and a couple of others the BIG bucks (Joking here of course... It's a volunteer position. ) to help moderate the site while she is busy doing her biologist thing. Sometimes while she is gone I find myself asking WWAD (What would Amanda do?). In this case, I think the answer is to lock the thread. Opinions are clearly strong on this topic, and for good reason. Lots of information has been provided, opinions shared, and plenty of name-calling too. Seems like most everything has been said at this point. If you have any questions, please PM them to me. S. -
Dramatic Drop in Gun Violence, How Will the Left Spin It?
stanley replied to rossislider's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Well then that's the answer to the question in the title of this thread, I suppose. Spin, spin, spin..... S. -
No replies have been deleted that I know of...at least not by any forum admin. why would you say that? Of course people can delete their own posts if they want. I replied and then deleted my own post ASAP because I realized I rushed to judgement/reply. Only deleted it for that reason, not for any theory about how close to the truth/false this topic might be. I only deleted my own post though, Oneshot. None others..... S.

That food looks AWESOME (Just by looking at that tortilla, you can tell it is fresh-made!)!!! TJ, congrats on the new home purchase! S.

So I've been ingoring this debate/post for a long time. Suppose I can't do that anymore. I'm a Wildcat to the core. Didn't go there, but have DEEP ties through family (2 sisters, one brother, 5 niece/nephews, grand-dad was Dean, etc....). That being said, my oldest son is gratuating from highschool this month and I just found-out that he has decidz'ed (and been accepted) to ASU for the fall term. Ugh..... A Sun Devil? Really?? His great-grandpa is turning in his grave right now. S.

Republicans Challenge DHS Ammo Buys
stanley replied to azmetalman's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
They probably have standing contracts to provide the feds with ammo. If they break the contracts, they get sued. Federal orders come before all others. Thats why the feds can tie up the ammo production I'm thinking that the answer to the Krazy's original question is also MONEY! Ammo makers are in business to make money. Even if they didn't have a contract why on earth would they 'not' sell to the government if they're willing to buy? BTW, I agree Snapshot I'm sure they must a contract. Can you imagine the red-tape wrapped around that contract process??? lol S. -
Good stuff!! I've got an old 1895 model Winchester (30-30) that my dad gave me when I was 9 years old. I used to pretend that I was Chuck Connors when I was blasting through rounds in the local wash with that thing. I think 30-30 ammo was $6.99 a box then. S.

In no way shape or form.....great point.... Too funny! Long live The Rifleman! (Loved that show as a kid.....) S.

Oh, OK..... My bad. I didn't realize you were kidding around when you commented about him being a "drug using, womanizing, wife beating, alcoholic.....". Maybe it was the "pretty ironic that you are sticking-up for this guy...." comment. Who knows, but I guess I missed the hint that you were kidding around. BTW, yes I do remember the I-95 A-hole song. It was written and originally recorded by August Campbell. Buffet, Jones, and several others (I think David Allen Coe) did pretty good recordings of it. Now how about back to the original point of this thread. He Stopped Loving Her Today is an awesome song (no matter what his personal problems were....)!!!! S.

Like Momma used to say, TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE. Excuse me if I don't add a Smiley Face. I don't have a Momma. Me and my Daddy shared yours .Excuse me if I dont add a raspberry face George Jones was a drug using, womanizing, wife beating, alcoholic, Pretty ironic that you would stick up for this guy. Huh???? Umm, the original post was ONLY recognizing a good ol' classic country song. Maybe next time just ignore the post and your personal judgement of his life, as opposed to hi-jacking the thread.... Good song, IMO. S.

I've got a Velbon graphite tripod that I love. Manfrotto floating head on top. S.

Good info from Doug (RR) on the Salt! Water level on the Gila below San Carlos depends (as usual) on time of year and down stream irrigation obligations. All that plays heck on the lake level too.... Anyway, it's been 4-5 years since I've done it. Can be fun if the flows are good. This time of year would be the best bet for water flow. As for the fishing, it used to be decent. You're not going to catch many/any really big flatheads but there are enough cats to keep you interested in my experience. The fishing used to be fair down to Winkleman. That's where the San Pedro comes into play, and the fishing is not much good below that. Suppose due to silt. Oh, and that area below San Carlos is worth a look for a day trip IMO, but if you're looking for 2-3 days, you won't get it out of that stretch of river. Not enough miles there, IMO..... S.

Ever do the Gila below San Carlos? Not too long, but can be fun. I've done a couple of floats in my canoe for ducks there! S. PS: Good deal on the days you have planned!
