VERY AWESOME!!! Good for Noah! My son Nicholas and I were in the Pine Grove Quiet area as well. He was fortunate enough to kill one on Friday morning. Two mile pack-out for us too, but of course it was well worth it (I love hunting in the 'quiet' areas.....)! Glad you guys had a good hunt! S.

  18. so if you get 2 idiots running a muck in each unit then what? Same as in unit 32...... Private land owners may exersize their right to close their land off and/or be as selective as they want to be regarding who gets access, when. S.

    Sold-Sold-Browning SA-22 Takedown Rifle-Sold-Sold-Sold

+ one to this rifle being a sweet little machine! With my father's recent passing, I was fortunate enough to take final possession of one. My kids and I have enjoyed shooting it for many years, and now it has moved permanently from my dad's safe to mine. Good luck selling it! Someone should snatch that thing up quick! S.

Is .223 big enough for deer?

I've got some of the 'managed recoil' .308 rounds that I would be willing to give you if you thought you could use them. If she is willing to give them a try..... My daughter has killed a couple of deer, and she used the managed recoil rounds on each one of them. She is a little bigger now and doesn't have as much of a problem handling the kick of a rifle so we really don't need them anymore. I live in Central Phx. and work in North Phx. I can double check my inventory when I get home tonight to be sure of how many rounds I have. Let me know if you think you would like to take them off my hands. S.

    Quail season is coming

I'll definitely be heading out hunting! Opening weekend of quail season is a 35 year tradition for a couple of old high school friends and I! As for success rates; We hunt without dogs and usually do quite well in our old honey holes. In the old days it was a race to see who could shoot a 15 bird limit first (my personal best was 15 birds by around 8:15AM on opening day.....). As time has marched-on though, the ridges surrounding the washes we hunt seem steeper & steeper and the urge to 'limit out' has been replaced by the satisfaction of another weekend in the desert with my oldest friends. I remember my father laughing and shaking his head at us as we peeled up the ridges after the birds while he chilled down in the wash. Now I know what he was thinking.... Of course, I also love getting out with my kids too! Have fun and be safe all!!! S. Edit: PS: Had a wonderful Vizsla for a few years (she got sick and died young). Opening weekend in the cholla patches was reserved for running and gunning without dogs. When the weather cooled a bit later in the season I would take Ruby along and hit the high desert (no cholla)!
