This article caught my eye today. ( http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/phoenix/2015/04/06/phoenix-archery-kids-katniss-legolas-merida/25275609/ ) It doesn't really touch on the hunting aspect of archery shooting, but I found it interesting none the less. The influence that pop-culture (Hunger Games, etc...) has on our society is amazing! S.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing with the site! S.

I put in for archery bull only. Unit 1 first choice, and unit 6B second choice (no 3rd, 4th, or 5th choices....). My card account was hit for the fee so I know I have an archery bull tag, which is awesome! Just anxiously awaiting the unit..... S.

You realize that you're contradicting your own argument with your reasoning on 3c and 27 & 1, don't you??? Man, I can hardly wait for the results! Like many others, I know I have an archery bull tag but don't know which unit yet! Can't wait for this thread to get back to the original topic! S.

I looked and couldn't readily find the information readily available, but it seems to me that there is information in the past that showed the impact on the number of applicants to be negligible when the method was paper vs. on-line. It was several years ago when they went back to paper for either one or two years. During the time they went back to paper, the number of applications hardly went down at all. Not sure if anyone remembers the thread then or not (or if anyone has the 'odds books' through the years that could confirm the overall number of applications through the years....). I also agree with rossislider, that there is clearly no way that they would ever go back to paper only in the long run. Just isn't going to happen.... S.

Welcome to the "Obama Generation" That's funny, right there! Next thing you know, people will be blaming him for not getting drawn for a Pronghorn tag!! He, nore any president before him has had anything at all to do with the way I was raised or the way I'm raising my children. Respect, support, boundaries, the freedom to make mistakes, trying to lead by example, and unconditional love are the things I try to focus on. I often miss the mark, but over the long run I think they'll turn-out OK. S.

I believe that will come later. Not until the official results are posted, I think. S.

Maybe a stupid question....... Why $135? I was hit for $135 also, but elk tags are $148..... Was $15 already accounted for with the application? Either way, it looks like I will have an archery bull tag in my pocket! S.

I was browsing the local section of the on-line paper this morning and noticed this in the 'things to do this weekend' section: Just for Kids Fishing Festival! My kids are teens or beyond now, but I remember when they were little tots we used to take advantage of these types of things. Used to love to take the little tykes!!! Fishing, freebies, that kind of stuff.... Usually lots of fun for the little ones! If you're stuck in town today and you have a small child, here is something that could be lots of fun! Wow! That sucks! I busted-up my shoulder in a BIG way a couple of years ago on the Kiabab Jr. hunt. Ripped the rotator cuff, separated it, plus several chips. A guy named Douglas Freedberg from AZ Sports Medicine did my work. He only works on shoulders, nothing else, and is good! (AZ Cards use him, and he is in on the sidelines of every game with them.......) Here is their website and his bio: http://www.asmcmd.com/about-us/meet-our-physicians/dr-douglas-freedberg/ Lots of good doctors out there, so hopefully you will get taken care of. Maybe give these guys a call, or have your current doctor call them though since you're looking for a good shoulder specialist. Good luck! S.

VERY awesome Amanda! Seriously brightened the start of my day to see those lovely flowers! Stuck in the office at the moment, but now inspired to go view wild flowers this weekend!!! Thanks for sharing! S.

You should check with the AZ G&F department on that. I know there has always been special regulations on the Buenos Aries, also some restrictions up in Brown Canyon. Not sure of the current rules/regs though. Again, I would check with G&F if I were you...... Good luck! S.

Seems like an OK way to spread the TAB+1 rule, but also seems cheesy to me. It is obviously staged, and to me the video would have more 'cred' if they would have stated that it was staged and what their intention of making it was up front (as opposed to the words 'Hunting Nightmare Caught on Tape'. The point of the classified section is for individuals to sell/trade things. (The item has apparently already been sold and removed, so I don't know what the sale was for.) Generally, if it is 'personal' stuff it's OK. If it is someone advertising or selling something that is 'commercial', that would tend to cross the fuzzy line. There is also a judgment call regarding the goods/services though, in that if the goods or services would be in direct competition with someone who IS advertising their goods on this site, then we would want them to become an advertiser to keep it fair to those who are in fact paying. S. Stanley: thanks for the information. For the sake of discussion, where does a 'start up' guy who's fabbing stuff at home as a hobby fall in here? I know theres some guys making bear boxes and other welded goodies and I myself have played around and sold a couple stabilizer offsets I machined on here before. I guess its probably best to email and ask first when dealing with something thats new product for resale. I think that is where the 'fuzzy' line comes in..... I think that if it's someone pursuing a hobby, and it's fairly obvious that is what it is then it usually is not a problem. Again though, if there is someone who has paid to advertise and is in competition with the 'hobbyist', it tends to cross that line. I think you nailed it in your final point though. If there is a question, it is always best to e-mail Amanda ahead of time to see what she says. S.

Yes, good story! I'm going to show this to my 16 year old daughter, who's interest in hunting is fading a bit..... Thanks for sharing! There was another one on Real Sports (HBO) last fall that was pretty good too. I think it was kind of a 'eat what you kill' piece..... He interviewed Steve Rinella in the story (whom I think represents hunters fairly well) as well as a woman chef/hunter from the New York area. Not sure if it is available on HBO.com or not. Was nice to see some pretty positive press for a change. S.
