You guys are hopeless!!! And Lark, THAT language will not be tolerated here going forward! Try to show a little respect, for crying out loud!!! S.

Nope, not necessarily bonecollector777..... Besides there are lame ways that some bozos try to get around that function anyway, such as changing 'ck' to just 'k'... S.

I weighed mine for the first time this year because a friend had dropped a scale off at my house for a hike to Havasupai that we were planning. My hunting pack was right at about 30lbs. This includes the majority of the weight is for the 15s & tripod, and the rifle. Water and the actual pack made up the other significant portion, with rope, food, etc. bringing-up the rear. Seemed kind of excessive when I pondered it, but it sure is nice to have all of the gear to make your hunt just as you want it. Thank God for a decent pack (Eberlestock)! S.

Effects of so many monsters killed on the strip this year
stanley replied to bonecollector777's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
I'm absolutely NOT an expert by any means. ( Like..... FAR from it!!! ) That being said, I tend to agree with what has been said already regarding the really big bucks already having a chance to spread their genes through previous breeding seasons. That of course should keep the big buck factory chugging along. Now if your question was more about the number of bucks killed in general, as opposed to the size of bucks, then I think that could be something to consider. If the average number of bucks killed rises over time (all other factors remaining equal), then I would assume that the Game Manager would eventually recommend a reduction in tags to bring the kill ratio (kills/tags) to the point they are targeting for their management objectives. My $.02..... S. -

VERY awesome, Doug!! So great that you two are still making it happen all these years later! The 'This post is for the dogs....' thread was recently reviived, and I found myself browsing through it looking at all of the dogs. There was Rica! Right there along side of you for many hunting adventures! Awesome stuff!! S. -
I'm pretty sure the answer to your question is obvious; To provide another avenue for G&F to share their news releases. If the question behind the question is; 'Why hasn't it been updated since June of this year?' I can't answer that one..... S.

I agree..... Getting harder and harder. I'm very fortunate to have a sister-in-law that makes it her mission each year to get permits in our preferred area. Tree cutting in the Rim Country has been a family tradition for us for MANY MANY years, and I'm thankful that we got permits for this year's hunt! Good luck and early Merry Christmas to everyone!! S.

WTS New (Tags still attached) Eberlestock J107 Dragonfly
stanley replied to rossislider's topic in Classified Ads
I own two Eberlestocks, of different sizes. Great packs! Good deal for someone who is in the market. Not my business but since it's not used with tags still on, maybe the place you bought it at would take it back? Either way, good luck selling! Should be just a matter of time..... S. -

GOOD LUCK!!! I vividly remember all of my three children's first deer hunts..... They are turning into young adults now, but I still have those amazing memories! Soak it up and have fun! No matter how it comes-out, tell us a story when you return! S.

IMO, yes it is possible. Often times there can be little to no external bleeding, depending on the wound. Keep looking! If the deer was in fact hit, intuition would have me looking downhill first..... Good luck! S.

+1 BIG thanks to all of the heros of our nation!! Especially those cw.com members reading this! Thank you! Thought I would share (once again) one of my favorite pics of my personal hero, my father! One last smoke before he crawls up into his B-17 for a mission during WWII!! (Never mind that he is standing next to a plane loaded with about 5000lbs of high explosives and 3500 gallons of fuel!!! ) S.

Another vote for Verizon! I actually have two phones...... Verizon for personal and AT&T for work. I take them both with me everywhere I go so I have the opportunity to compare the service between the two quite often. There is NO doubt in my mind that Verizon has much better service coverage than AT&T across the board (Can't speak to T-mobile or Sprint). I was even on a backpacking trip to Havasupai Falls a couple of weeks ago and took my iPhone for pics. Amazingly enough, I actually had service WAY down in that canyon! Of course I immediatly put my phone on 'airplane' mode so I couldn't get any texts/calls while there, as planned!! Verizon!!! S.
