Bummer that you are getting that message from them. I posted about a similar scenario (used binos previously registered to someone else.....), but the outcome was positive. They basically told me that they would try for 30 days to get hold of the previously registered owner to verify the 15's were sold to me. In my case, they were able to get hold of the previous owner and transfer the warranty. I thought though, that they said if they could not get hold of the registered owner after 30 days, that they would transfer the warranty to me (maybe I misunderstood). Anyway, I really hope it works out for you. That is a BIG loss, if not. Good luck! S.

Just enjoyed it while munching lunch here in the office. Thanks for sharing!

I'm heading-up either Weds evening or Thurs morning. Looking forward to hunting in the snow!! Be safe, everyone!! S.

Yup, Doug! I've been looking at various sources off and on all day, and I think you summed it up. A few days ago I was excited at the prospect of some fresh snow to hunt in. As the time draws near though, it seems like it has the potential to be a bit much. If it stays on the low-side of the estimates, it could be a great opening weekend. If the high-side of the estimates comes to fruition, my time Friday might be better spent on my skis at Snowbowl! ππ€£

Kodiak Flex Bow tent and Mr buddy heater question.

I just ordered that exact set-up from Amazon, Siwash. Will be using it for my elk hunt in a couple of weeks. -
Heading-up to elk scout this weekend, and just saw on the early morning news that I-17 is going to be closed at Happy Valley road in both directions starting at 10PM tonight! They are saying Cave Creek to Carefree Highway as an option, or 303 for the west-siders. (I think I'll be driving home across the rim and down through Payson on Sunday....) Heads-up for anyone going that direction! S

Ya, where????? DOT site says nothing of Payson closure. Not like it's the ONLY source, so curious where you got your Payson info..... https://azdot.gov/projects/other-restrictions-and-weekend-travel-advisory/weekend-freeway-travel-advisory

Yup, you're right! Seems these days that I-17 is bad on a fairly regular basis. I live in Central Phoenix, so if I can time the traffic right (like tomorrow morning I'm leaving at 3AM) it's usually OK. Payson for sure on the way home this Sunday, though!

Kodiak Flex Bow tent and Mr buddy heater question.

Yup, pretty much same here. In cold weather, I use a down mummy bag inside of a big puffy 15 degree Cabela's cot-style sleeping bag. Keeps me plenty warm while sleeping, and I'll only use heater when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes I'll have a small Coleman stove that I use on a table in the corner for coffee. That usually puts out some good warmth while it's brewing/perking. The Big Buddy basically turbo-charges the place! π₯ Stay warm (AND safe), everyone! S. -

Thanks, guys!!! Yes, Nick, that explanation on the single burner vs. both makes sense, now that I think about it. Those suckers really crank-out the heat, so I'm thinking a single burner is generally good most of the time anyway. Will be putting it to the test on an elk hunt in a couple of weeks! S. -
Wow, that's crazy! Hope you find the hunter. As a side note, what is the 'normal/standard' course of action in these cases (in addition to putting the word out on social media like this.....)? Call G&F? Gut the thing, then call G&F? Good luck!! S.

Kodiak Flex Bow tent and Mr buddy heater question.

Good discussion & info here!! Quick question for those running BIG Buddy off a large tank, please. Maybe a stupid question, but the Big Buddy uses two propane bottles that screw-in separately. If I buy a hose (with filter/regulator) to run the Big Buddy off the large propane tank, will both sides of the Big Buddy run with the single hose connection? Thanks! S. -
Very awesome!!!! Nothing the world, like hunting with your kids!

We had this in my house as I was growing-up as a kid in the 70s. Spent endless hours browsing and studying the pics (admittedly, rarely reading....). My favorites were The Soldiers and The Cowboys. Good luck selling! S.

I'm really not that familiar with turkey habits, etc.... Question: Do turkey populations vary significantly from year to year based on weather, etc. (Like Gambels quail are SO dependent on the prior Winter/Spring rain....)? Thanks! S.

I grew-up in Kearny, and have the same memories. Oh BTW, by "factory", you mean the 4 or 5 women in the back room cranking-out tortillas by hand all morning long??? π€£ Big +1 on the fresh tortillas!!! Used to LOVE stopping by there and buying them super fresh!!! Nothing like fresh, warm tortillas. No butter needed! The good ol' days....

Was their two Los Hermanos restaurants in Superior??? The one I'm familiar with have been open for many many years, and is still open, alive & well. Big place with a bar, right next to the little rest area they built towards the east end of town. LOVE stopping in there for fresh tortillas! S.

Love it, Lance!!! Best of times!!! Like you, I've been on many hunts with my kids over the years. Heading down south this afternoon for an early coues hunt with my soon to be 25 year old. No matter what age, hunting with your "children" NEVER gets old! S.

AGFD Quail outlook 2019-2020
stanley replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Our experience was similar to your's, kfallsrob. We hit some of our standard 'go-to' areas, with spotty results. Came across a few very large coveys (like 100+ birds), which we always love to see on opening weekend, but then other spots had sparse 10-15 bird coveys. Overall, it was pretty decent though. Now I'm gonna focus on deer and elk over the next few weeks. Will be interesting to see how the bird hunting shapes-up for the Dec-Jan cooler weather months. S.
