Inside cutting area is roughly 22X42 inches. Lost about an inch on the sides and approx 3 inches on each end to account for the moat & hand-holes Good idea indeed, Kevin, but credit goes to Jeff (original poster). He put the idea in my head when I picked it up. π

Thanks. Was pretty easy. You have the tools?? If not, cβmon over (I live in south Scottsdale.). We can knock it out in less than an hour. π

Update! When I picked one of these up from Jeff, he suggested that they will take standard wood-working tools fairly well. So this morning I broke-out the router & jig-saw, and had at it! Cut a handle on each end. Next I used the router to round-off all edges, and to cut a little moat (blood/juice catcher) around the top. Super easy, so thought I would share. Thanks again, Jeff. S.

Born and raised in AZ, and finally saw my first lion last weekend. Unfortunately it was in a canyon I was glassing on opening day of the early deer season down south, so surprise, we saw no deer that morning! π€£ Saw THREE! Assuming either a mother and a couple of adolescents or three adolescent siblings. Anyway, I snapped a couple of pics through the Swaros and thought I would share here (Only got pics of two.....). Thinking I might buy me one of those phone-scope thingys.

I guy named Rene' at 623-277-8677 did the block wall on a house I bought in south Scottsdale about a year ago. VERY good work, IMO. (SOLID wall with a great foundation and very strait/square/level lines all the way through.) Good luck!

Cool movie. But I wanted to see the ending.

AGFD - Desert Zone Waterfowl Season Begins Oct. 23
stanley replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Pond jumping will definitely be a little limited in sone places. ALL of the dirt tanks that I saw while quail hunting last weekend were dry (Tanks that typically have good/regular water.). The only water I saw was rancher maintained wells that were feeding galvanized water troughs. S. -
Outstanding, Kevin!!!!! Cool to have that video of the elk. Good stuff!!!!

Sous Vide - Sounds weird.. changes the game..

Ya, fryer might work but I think one of the basic tenants of the sous vide methods is precision. Checking temp and adjusting accordingly over an extended period of time would likely result in small deviations from the precise level of constant tempurature called for. Again, could work, but seems like risk of varied result would be a bit high. I think water circulation is also one of the elements sought with sous vide.. My $.02.... -
YES!!!! Very awesome!!! Hunting, father-daughter time, and smiles!!! The best!!

That bonito shark video was pretty wild!! Curious..... Are they edible?? Or was it more about 'population control' (eg; payback for molesting their target fish...?? Cool video!

Sous Vide - Sounds weird.. changes the game..

I have not done it, but my nephew has been doing in the past couple of years at our BIG family Christmas dinner. In addition to our traditionally roasted standing rib roast, he has been doing a smaller one on the side Sous Vide style. It is amazing!! I don't own the set-up, but thinking I'll add to my kitchen gadgets soon. I have some bison roasts that might take well to that method. Regarding not being masculine enough....... FORGET THAT!!!! I say cooking your game meat anyway you want is cool stuff!!! -
VERY AWESOME!!!!! That pic is the best!!!!

Solid indeed, Hector! And NO turquoise!!! My buddy's wife also joined us on the hunt. She is a bit of an artist, and said she would love to paint a scene on it. I'm sticking with classic clean bleached-white!

Sean's son (Draysen) once again did some AMAZING work!!! Kudos on a job well done! (He is also a pretty cool young man, respectful with a firm handshake! Being raised right, I believe! ) So happy with the way it turned-out. S. BIG head!!!!! Chair is not it's final resting place. Ordering a hook/hanger for the wall. Here is a link to a pic from the field. -->

10-4 on the table fare!! Been experimenting and enjoying. Also point taken on the potential "cow skull" comments! π I'm having a rug done with the hide, which I'm planning on displaying in close proximity to the skull. Hopefully folks will connect the two dots on their own. (Plus, virtually anyone I let in my house already has heard the story of my bison hunt several times! ) S.
