Jnb-scammer is now gone. Yep, more and more of this. Interesting MO, in that lately the thing is primarily private messaging. The process to sign-up was enhanced in the last couple of years to include e-mail validation, etc. (Standard stuff for most websites today.....) Not fool proof though, especially with the sophistication of bots and such. Scammers constantly working to stay a step or two ahead of website validation/security.

Nope, not him either. I've seen it like 5-6 times in the past several months. It's funny, because it seems like it's just some 'normal' (if that exists...) dudes. Not the controversial ones. I would feel weird outing them, though. So I suppose will let them have their fun. Seems the controversial ones are comfortable enough in their own skins to post anything they want anyhow, so no need for an alter ego.

The latter, it looks like. Seems that some folks just want some sort of an alter-ego that they can comment with. IP addresses tell the story. For the record, with VERY little exception the only profiles that actually get 'banned' are the spammers. Plenty of content gets deleted on a post by post basis, but banning the average user has been super rare.

Yep, still pretty good fishing. At least it was two summers ago.... Was VERY good in the old days, and seemed to be starting to come back in the past couple of years. Agreed with wish2hunt regarding lures, though my primary the last few trips has been a fly rod with streamers for the smallies and nymphs for the browns/rainbows (generally fish up-river far enough to get into plenty of trout). Have also had great luck with black rooster tails if using spinning gear. As to whether it is open or not, you should call the San Carlos tribe to confirm. Also be aware that if you are going to fish or access the north side, you need a White Mountain permit. Regarding location, do a Google search for the 'pump station' on the Black river (Point of Pines is a reference point to get you in the rough area on a map). Look for the 2000 road NE from Point of Pines, and then take the 1560 road to the river from there. Pump station is well known, so not giving away anybody's secret spot there. Good place for an initial trip to get to know the rough area, and then you can explore from there to find your own honey holes.

My guess is that the impact will be relatively benign, mainly because I feel like the vast majority of 'average' hunters really don't consider hunting out of state too much anyway. Sure, there are plenty of folks that do it, but I feel like interstate hunting is generally the rarity compared to the general population. IMO, only....

As already pointed out, this is fake news. They absolutely did NOT pass an "assault weapon ban". (Did you actually read that some where???) The bills have to do with expanding background checks for private/internet sales and giving more time for background checks. Not saying I support either one. I'm just a fan of real and accurate information, as opposed to fear-mongering.

Fair enough..... I guess in this particular case, for me personally I don't really care because I don't use that product. Even if I did, I think as long as it tasted the same I wouldn't really care what the bottle looked like, but that's just me. I get what you're saying. Maybe someday the cry-babies and political correctness police will result in a change to a product I actually care about. Suppose my perspective might change when that happens. Until then though, I just don't really have the mental energy to care. (Yet somehow I find the mental energy to get on here and debate stuff that I say I don't care about... lol)

Ya, I get it. Cancel culture and political correctness (so called) gone wild. Same product with different name still = who cares, IMO (Those who want to eat it can still eat it....). If corporations decide to change names/images based on political correctness and cry-baby input, it just doesn't impact me at all. For sure real maple syrup is WAY more expensive, but I don't eat it much anyway so I'll indulge and pay the premium on that rare occasion (I think I have had the same bottle of maple syrup in my cupboard for over 5 years now....).

For me, it seems like many folks here in AZ have never even been exposed to gun-dogs in the first place. The average dove & quail hunter here in AZ just doesn't know what they are missing. I know that growing-up in a small town in the 70s, we hunted rabbits and birds all the time, but never over dogs. Was always run & gun Gambels chasing for us. Wasn't until I was an adult that I discovered that a handful of 'points' over a good dog was => running-gunning a limit of Gambels.
