I think it's been spoken-to and answered by several guys already on here. Killing more does will NOT result in you seeing more bucks. (Also, seeing lots of does does NOT cause you to see fewer bucks.) Your statement of "...makes the problem worse." assumes there is a 'problem' in the first place. From a biological perspective, seeing lots of does is not a problem.

Quail: What to Expect 2021-2022
stanley replied to rcorley's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
+1 on Mearns, Doug! Hopeful based on the generous monsoon this year. 🙏🏼 Anxious to get my new partner out there this fall. -
Excellent! Enjoy the time with your son, and let us know how it goes!

MATTYS281 WAS HACKED - DO NOT BUY IT IS A SCAM!!!

Hey Matt! per our email exchange, I just reset things on your account. Should be good to go with your old account now. S. -
Awesome!!!!

Coues or muley?

Grew up hunting 37B as a kid in Kearny. Used to be plenty along the northern side of the unit (washes running into the Gila....). Never had a problem finding them then, but likely it was because we were out in the desert after school multiple times per week chasing quail in the fall, so we sort of knew where they were. Like a lot of units, I guess it's just not quite like it used to be. One thing that's cool about it is the coues deer these days. Been seeing them in places I never would have guessed before. Cool to be able to carry an 'any antlered deer' tag around.

Freaking LOVE this!!! So awesome on several levels!!

Out of a total of 180MM vaccinated people...... Sounds pretty effective. IF you believe the CDC.....
-
True, but VERY rare. Hence the 97% figure. I was questioning his statement regarding the 'vax no longer working...', not the rare cases where a vaxed person gets a serious case of covid. But you knew that...

I use Southwest Wildlife Taxidermy in north Scottsdale (Jim), and have always been happy. They are also a sponsor/friend of the site. I'm sure you will get LOTS of other opinions, though.

Just the facts, ma'am! LOL Boring, I know....
-
OUTSTANDING!!! Thanks for sharing with the site!

"vax no longer works..."???? Huh??? 97%+ of current hospital cases are non-vaccinated. Pretty hard to argue that the vax no longer works. Curious what your data source is for your statement. Regarding those who are sick with flu, YUCK!! Hope and pray for everyone's health!

Kodiak Brown Bear Hunt 31 Oct - 6 Nov 2021
stanley replied to IAMMAC's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
YES!!! Freaking awesome!!! Love that your son is taking advantage of his 'station assignment'!! No matter what the result, definitely share the brown bear adventure with the site upon your return!! -
I would take the 'under' on whether they even voted.

My guess is that they are not a "granola gang", but more likely hunters. Possibly they even browse this site on occasion.... The garb the adults are wearing doesn't appear to be hippy-granola type to me, plus what the heck are they going to do with a tree stand? I'm thinking they are opportunistic thieving sometimes-hunters who just figured they would exercise their sticky fingers that day. But who knows.....

Yep, that is the one and only mushroom that I have picked and eaten here in AZ. Very easy to identify and safe to eat, plus there are tons around.... A friend who initially showed me them is from Russia (immigrated 25+ years ago) and said they call them 'Oily Mushrooms' there, based on the film on the top. Obviously the same reason they are called Slippery Jacks, here.

Yeah, thanks, Andrew. I shared the sentiment last night (after she finished another 15 hour shift), and she appreciates it. She is a trooper and truly cares greatly for her patients and takes joy in each and every recovery story. Super happy that maximus' friend is on the right path.

Super glad to hear that your friend is improving!! Regarding dialysis being a primary means of treatment, my girlfriend is a dialysis nurse at Banner Desert (and floats to other locations…). She has been working her tail off, primarily in the ICU for well over a year now treating primarily Covid patients. Lots of folks don’t realize that Covid does NOT just affect the lungs. Seems like for the sickest of the sick, it’s the heart, kidneys, and other organs. Dialysis is the difference between life snd death for many of the very sick cases. Tough stuff! Again, glad to hear your friend is showing signs of improving!! 🙏🏼 S.

Ugh.... Just what I needed. Another M77 30.06 in the safe. LOL It sure is a beauty, though! My pleasure meeting and doing business with you. 👍

Add me to the list of folks who wouldn't have pulled over. Especially given it was a dead-end and you were apparently fairly close to the end. If/when they followed all the way in, I would have taken the opportunity at the dead-end to engage and ask them if they wanted to coordinate locations as to not step on each other's hunt. If at that time they ignored or didn't want to talk/coordinate, then I would have chalked it up to them just being them, and gone about my business with or without coordination. Public land, etc....
