They're pretty badly burned.

Just snagged a couple of cheapy weekend getaways! Thanks again, Curtis! š

Good tip, Curtis! I'm going to check it out! BTW, Maui is freaking awesome, cody!

I'm just a grunt, and don't have full knowledge and access but I believe that re-configuring the like/reaction buttons wouldn't be easy. It is sort of a 'package' deal on the forum software, and not too easy to customize (or impossible). Good suggestion, but unfortunately I don't think it's technically feasible. No doubt the spammer activity has increased in the past few months. I would recommend that folks continue to use the 'report' button anytime they notice a questionable post. I have also started reviewing the newly set-up accounts on occasion to look for anything obvious even before they start posting. That can be tricky to identify though, without going into deep analysis on the IP addresses (which I don't really have the time to do). S.

That's funny, right there!! š -
Just got back from a long weekend there. We had planned to fish Christmas Tree, but since the tribe shut-off the backcountry we had to change plans. We were fly fishing only, but I saw guys and talked to some that were fishing from shore and doing just fine. PowerBait and worms, both! Get some good fresh line on your reel, weigh it down with a bell-sinker at the end and cast that sucker as far as possible!! Also, if you are interested and your budget allows, renting a boat from the store for 1/2 day can be a great way to get into some, either drifting worms or trolling small brown trout rapalas or other spoons/spinners. Good luck! S/

Dry (semi) lighting can be a real bear this time of year, so hopefully there was plenty of moisture in the cell. Nice to see us getting a little hint of what should be coming in the next few weeks, though!!! Weather gal said that the brutal hot temps that go along with this current high pressure ridge should help kick-start things a bit. Fingers crossed!!!

Hijack much? You got some sort of proof of 200k missing ballots? Start another thread to show that proof? (I honestly would love to see it... lol)

Yikes, good catch. I could have said something lame like I was observing it from my window indoors, but point taken. I honestly didn't even think about that. Going out to switch it now.

Yup, Iām flying mine. Flying it because itās Flag Day, and Iām proud to honor the flag. (I didnāt think it was to honor the presidentā¦.) Are you not flying yours because Biden got elected??

Just talked to Apache-Sitgreaves forest office in Springerville. They are going to Stage 2 tomorrow. No surprise! S.

Haven't heard anything regarding the SCAT. Honestly, given the fires up in that area, I would be a little surprised if they didn't close it already or VERY soon. Maybe Dan will chime-in with info?
-
Yes, getting info from WMAT can be tough. Thanks for posting, Doug. I think your info about Hawley and the other more accessible waters is accurate. I was part of a big group of guys that had reserved all of the permits for Christmas Tree this Saturday. We're of course now going to plan 'B'. S.

š A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE NRA Dismayed by the lack of marksmanship shown by their troops, Union veterans Col. William C. Church and Gen. George Wingate formed the National Rifle Association in 1871. The primary goal of the association would be to "promote and encourage rifle shooting on a scientific basis," according to a magazine editorial written by Church. After being granted a charter by the state of New York on November 17, 1871, the NRA was founded. Civil War Gen. Ambrose Burnside, who was also the former governor of Rhode Island and a U.S. senator, became the fledgling NRA's first president. An important facet of the NRA's creation was the development of a practice ground. In 1872, with financial help from New York State, a site on Long Island, the Creed Farm, was purchased for the purpose of building a rifle range. Named Creedmoor, the range opened a year later, and it was there that the first annual matches were held.

Yikes! That's the Ray pit, right?? My stomping grounds growing-up. Looks like the Pinals are going to burn.

No, didn't give up. My tact just isn't that 'speculative'. (Though I guess ALL stock market purchases are speculative by nature.....). I just bought low earlier in the year when it was in the toilet, and it's tucked into my portfolio with all of the other paper to just sort of sit there. Don't plan on selling, buying, selling, buying, etc.. Don't have the time or emotional energy to chase all of that up and down. LOL I used to play around with stocks much more. I realized though that simply trying to buy on the dips and sell on the peaks didn't work for me over time when the market in general continued to grow year after year. Took-up too much brain power to try to pretend I knew more than I knew. Sort of like several other parts of my life. lol If I want to tend to my gambling bug, I'll sit down at the blackjack table with a $1000 in chips and feel like a winner if I can make it last for 5 hours while splitting a few eights & aces along the way!

Iāll stick with blackjack to get my gambling bug fix. š¤£

Hey, now.... Why calling me out? I'm right here. (Always lurking.... š) Never called you crazy, did I? Just said based on the company's history I couldn't see it going 5 digits. Also specifically said that I wasn't saying it wouldn't happen. LOL (Also said I bought in several months ago VERY low and am holding.... Not necessarily holding for a certain price, simply holding because it was a good chance to buy some stock to add to my portfolio at a super low price. )

A bunch of buddies and I have Christmas Tree lake permits in a couple of weeks. We're looking at camping options, and trying to decide if we want to camp on NF land or stay on the reservation. Has anyone been to the North Fork area lately? Specifically, just after you take the Hawley Lake turn-off from the 260, there used to be camping available up & down the North Fork as soon as you cross over the bridge over the river. Does anyone know if there is still camping along that stretch of the river?? (I tried the Apache G&F, but was not able to get anyone on the phone, so thought I would try here....) PM me if you prefer. Thanks in advance!! S.

Love to fly fish, though it tapered off a bit while my kids were younger and learning (easier to start them on worms/spinning-lures....). Some buddies and I purchased all of the permits for Christmas Tree lake in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to spend the day floating & casting for those trout. Also greatly enjoy pulling streamers for smallmouth on the Black River on occasion. Good fun!

BTW, pre-market currently shows AMC up 20%, but we'll see if the rally prediction holds until the end of the day.

Yes, NYSE and NASDAQ are both closed on national holidays. These days though, there is āafter hoursā trading, plus there are the international markets doing business. Depending on the particular company, stock can often be purchased on more than one exchange.

Three bears is awesome!!! I have used Jim at Southwest Wildlife Taxidermy, and have been very happy! (Plus, heās a site sponsorā¦)

Eh, I donāt really see it that way. āPrice gougingā is generally a term that applies when prices are jacked-up on goods/services that folks really NEED. I see the latest guns & ammo prices more in terms of a free market and capitalism at work. Demand far exceeding supply driving sky high prices. š
