I keep procrastinating, and this thread reminds me that I want go get my young Vizsla snake trained. Casey, curious why you think it was a waste? Did it not work, or is your point more that it can easily be done without having to pay $100+? Curious since I'm likely about to pay for it.... S.

Dad flew missions over Europe in a B-17. Indeed, a BIG thank you to all who served!!

OUTSTANDING!!!! Absolutely nothing beats time in the field with close friends and/or family! Super awesome for your mom & dad, AND you!! ššš¼

+1 on 5guy's chairs. I have those and love them. Light, handy, and better back support than those 'soccer mom' chairs that have been so popular for the last 20+ years, or so.

SO tempted!! Love those old Landcruisers! While in college in SLC a LONG time ago, one of my roommates had one. We spent many days/nights with several of us taking our rigs 'wheeling' in the mountains around Salt Lake, and of course that mountain goat of a beast was absolutely never outdone! My buddy ended-up rolling that sucker one night when a little hill-climbing challenge went bad. He had the hard top on at the time, and as you can imagine that box-shaped thing didn't roll gracefully. LOL (Luckily he and his girlfriend weren't hurt.) It ended-up on it's roof, and after some handy work with tow straps to get it back on it's wheels, he drove it the 20 miles back to town without a problem. Great memories of great adventures in that thing. Wish I had the garage space! Good luck with the sale!

Crypto is generally treated the same as any other capital investment (short term, long term, etc..). -

Russ, and others; Curious if anyone has become involved in the Airbnb/VRBO business?? A couple of years ago I bought a house in south Scottsdale (just south of the Old Town area). Turns-out that due to proximity to that touristy/party spot, my neighborhood is apparently super hot for the short term rental business. There are two on my street, and I've gotten to know the owners/property-managers quite well. One was recently purchased for just over $600K, and the buyer is in it ONLY for the short term rental business. Said he expects a 30-35% annual ROI after expenses. CRAZY returns that have me considering renting or buying a small condo to live in and rent my place out too! LOL Anyway, anyone doing that?? -
First means hunt

Iām a total novice, having only hundred Mearns a few times. After many years without a dog though, Iāve got a new Vizsla pup so Iāll likely get out this winter. Hereās what little I know: A - Those suckers roost on the ground! (Was hard for me to believe at firstā¦) Sort of for this reason, a buddy of mine who initially took me Mearns hunting years ago would always start a little later than normal. He said it would give them a chance to get out of there a little roosting spot and wander around and spread some scent for the dogs. B- In the areas Iāve hunted them, they would feed on little tubers and roots and things. If you knew what to look for you could find where they have been digging up the tubers to munch on. We would use this as sort of a way to locate new areas as we were scouting. Good luck!!!! S. -
We always camp in the Elkhorn Ranch area. Often there are other camps around. Never personally had a problem there. Can't really speak to any place to avoid, as I've pretty much always camped at the Elkhorn (even if hunting a different part of the unit). Good luck! S.

I've got notifications set-up at midwayusa.com and bulkammo.com so if any specific ammo that is out of stock comes in, I'll get an e-mail alert. That, plus one of my son's best friend works the gun counter at Bass Pro, so there's that 'alert', too....

On two different scouting trips down in the 36s over the past couple of weeks, I donāt think I saw a single set of twins. Plenty of doe-fawn combos, but no twins. Regarding the big summer rains, similar to the Gambles, I suspect it was too late to make an impact on the fine crop. S.

Was tough for us as well. Went to our usual spots and the birds were very scarce (A few coveys, but VERY small groups....). Total about-face from last year's boomer season, and a stark reminder how dependent the Gambels are on the winter/spring rain. Based on the dry winter/spring, I figured it would be average-to-below, but was hopeful there would be enough carry over birds from last year making babies. Nope. Nice to see the desert tanks with water from the monsoon, but summer rain doesn't really help the Gambels. Possibly mearns will be good?? I think they are more 'summer rain' hatchers....

My oldest son and I both have the older model Eberlestock X1A3, and we both like them quite a lot. My younger son bought an Eberlestock Gunrunner last year, and he seems to like it. The X1A3 is 1500 c.i., but the Gunrunner is a bit smaller, coming-in at only 1000 c.i. FYI..... https://eberlestock.com/collections/daypacks/products/x1a3-pack https://eberlestock.com/collections/daypacks/products/gunrunner-pack

Every once in a while some company or manufacturer will surprise me with amazing service/support (Swarovski blew me away with outstanding service once.). I've never heard of Sightron scopes, but might check them out for the M77 I just bought. Very awesome, Ernesto!!

Love it!!!! Nothing like hunting with the kids!!

I consider myself a life-long beginner. VERY slow learner, here...

Cool way to earn a little money for your club. Being an 'average hack' shooter, I've on occasion taken advantage of the sight-in service the range masters will sometimes provide (if they have time). Not so much to zero-in, but to maybe get the rounds on paper if I have a newly mounted scope or something.

Unfortunately, it's just not always that easy. The 'out of the box' standard web hosting configuration can be restrictive on modifications. Like I said prior though, I'll see if Amanda wants to look into it. S.
-
Possibly a good suggestion, except not certain the web-hosting software has that function available as an option. Though I'm not sure what the 'right' post count would be to allow to sell in classifieds. Amanda would need to answer that. (I'll text her to ask....) Many scammers have resorted to simply sending direct messages to potential victims, so there's that..... I'll check it out, but at the end of the day the best defense is STRONG scrutiny by members here. Buyer beware!!!
