Amazing, simply amazing!!!!! Sincere congratulations to Coueskiller & all others that are seeing early success this fall!!! S.

Got mine to! Thanks much Amanda!!! Everyone should buy one of these!!! Seriously, a good sturdy quality shirt!!!! My other coueswhitetail.com shirt brought me some great luck while fishing this year, so you KNOW I'll be wearing this one!! S.

They look great Amanda!!!! S.

Dis-respectful to the animal??? Now THAT'S funny!!! I suspect that deer doesn't give a rat's 'you know what' whether he or any of his brothers are in the book!!! How many guys do you know that enter deer in a book to 'honor the deer'.... Seems like they're mainly stoking their own ego by entering an animal that they killed in the book, not the deer's IMO..... Of course you know what they say about opinions! S.

Vice President Choices
stanley replied to GodIsGood's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Once again, Lark shares his words of wisdom....... LARK FOR PRESIDENT!!! SERIOUSLY!!! Clay, I have to say though; If you don't vote then your opinion just doesn't count, period!!! Saying you don't vote because you 'think it doesn't matter....' is a VERY LAME attitude. What does matter then? What do you think America is about???? There are MANY people in the world who don't vote in their own country because they are rightly afraid that it could come back to haunt them. This is one of the things our guys fight for; The right for EVERYONE to be able to vote and be heard without being rounded-up and/or killed because of your beliefs. Go vote this fall man!!! Be thankful for the right to do it!!! (I'll get off the soap-box now.... ) S. -
Another quail hatch
stanley replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Cool pics Amanda! Thanks for sharing. Reminds me of growing-up in Kearny as a boy. We lived on the outskirts and had TONS of quail around. One evening my dad and I sat on our patio and counted over 90 birds jumping one by one up into our olive tree to roost!!! Makes me want to go bird hunting!!! S. PS: I ALWAYS left the 'house quail' alone. Never hunted them..... my mom wouldn't of had it!! LOL... -
I agree with the bonus/shmonus theory!!! azcouesandelk, the problem with your statement is that this is a 'bonus' point system and not a 'preference' point system. Those with 3-7 bonus points only have a better (slightly) 'chance' at a tag, but not 'preference' for a tag. It's all up to the tag gods...... ;) Everyone should keep in mind that at the same time the bonus point system is giving us 'un-lucky' hunters an additional chance at a tag next year, it is also giving EVERY OTHER un-lucky hunter a chance also! At the same time it is giving you an additional chance, it is diluting the value of that chance by giving all other un-successful hunters an additional chance to. Get it??? Kind of confusing, but it's really just simple statistics.... Don't get me wrong; I don't necessarily have a problem with our system. I just feel like folks put too much faith in it. It really doesn't matter too much until you get in the elite '10%' group (If that even still exists.... I think it does....). Good luck to everyone in trying to make sense of it all!!! S.

Hey rugerman, can you tell more (or provide a link with details....) on the '$15-$50" thing you mentioned? Specifically; Do you know if a valid AZ hunting and/or fishing license still satisfies the requirement? It has been my assumption that as long as I possess a valid hunting license, that I am allowed on AZ State Trust land. Any more details on this would be appreciated.... Thanks! S.

You're right. The JibJab stuff is great! The Bush/Kerry thing from four years ago was hilarious!!! S.

OK, got it. Fippingtires nailed it! Right in the center of the pic.... One facing right with it's butt showing, the other looking the other way standing right behind or in front of the first one. S.

Great pics Amanda! However, I'm not very good at the 'find the deer' challenges! I think I might have seen one or both of those antelope bucks on my fishing trip a couple of weeks ago though.... ;-) Best regards to you! S.

Great pictures!!! All three of them are definitely 'keeper' memories!!! Thanks for sharing! S.

A buddy of mine and I both have the 36A late Nov hunt. We definitely would be interested in stopping in for fun & food! Thanks for the offer, and we'll be in touch as the fall progress's!! S.

This past weekend I joined a couple of friends on a trip to the Black River for some hiking, fishing, solitude, etc..... It had been MANY years since I had been there, and we had a great time. We didn't see another human soul all weekend long, but we saw plenty of game & fish! I caught the biggest Small Mouth bass of my life (not saying too much, as I don't go after smallies much...)! The pic doesn't quite do it justice, but it right at 3lbs (scale verified...). Fat thing, eating all those crawdads!! I also caught the biggest Brown Trout of my life, but didn't have the camera with me then! He made this small mouth look small (no pun intended, of course...) LOL! Anyway, it was a great weekend!!! S. PS: Amanda, I hope you notice the shirt!!!!!

I was born & raised in Kearny! Son of a copper miner.... I grew-up hunting quail & mule deer in 37B & 24A. Those were the days.... Seemed like there was plenty of both to be found in either of those units then. Also an occasional trip to Florence Junction / Queen Valley for some dove hunting! I still try to get up to the copper basin area for a bird hunting trip when possible, but my deer hunting time is spent elswhere. Good topic! S.

Luckiest kids on the planet!!!!! Kudos to you for making that amazing trip possible for your children! Memories for a lifetime for sure!!! S.

Yep, a great trip indeed Doug. The 'two best' was not lost on me, and was celebrated heartily around the fire on Saturday night!!! Lure of choice was Black! Appropriate enough for the location, of course. For smallies, Black grubs (jigs...) with the spinning rod, and black wooley worms & wooley buggers on the fly rod. Caught plenty of them with both forms of tackle. Mainly olive colored hair's ear nymphs for the trout. Except the big boy.... he came on a black rooster tail spinner. Was hoping for a smallmouth when I tried the rooster tail, but lucked into the big brown! Lucky shirt for sure! S.

2nd annual Flagstaff area CWT get together!
stanley replied to Lance's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Get-togethers!
You all should have another great time up there. I really with I could be there, but it conflicts with a business trip out of the country that I have planned and hence I won't be able to make it (AGAIN.......). Best wishes to all though, and I hope to see lots of pics! S.
