Hey Allan! Not sure if you're still on Tracy's distribution list or not, but Brian is schedule to be at the ADA meeting tomorrow evening. If you could make it there, it would likely be a good opportunity to ask the questions. Best, S.

Interesting idea, but my guess is that it's a bit complicated. Maybe Jim or one of the other G&F folks will chime in...... S.

Any help for my son's unit 36A, Nov 25th tag?
stanley replied to Kel's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I'll be down there with my two youngest for the early Junior hunt (10/7-10/13). Sounds like the same time as your Fall Break! We will likely only be there for a long weekend, but I'll definitely let you know how it goes! I've been down there quite a few times for the Junior hunts over the years. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions. Good luck! S. -
I got left over tags,Didnt get drawn for our normal area 24B Hope you didn't take too much offense to the comment. Really, just joking.... My advice was sincere though. There are plenty of deer there. The flat country can be a bit tough to hunt because of the limited distant visibility. A little elevation will go a long way to helping you spot the deer there. Also, towards the southern part of the unit close to the border. A few more hills there, and there are muleys. Good luck! S.

You and your 15 year old got drawn for tags, and now you're trying to decide if it's safe??? Just kidding...... 36C is safe! Just be smart....... I don't have any detailed knowledge of how the herd is doing there, but I know there are plenty of muleys. Hunt in the lower elevations. Get on a hill above some nice big flat mesquite covered country and glass, glass, glass..... You should see some deer. Good luck! S.

You're pictures are torturing me Doug!! Sincere thanks for letting me see the beauty that is out there in the world, while I'm sitting here slaving away in my 'cube/office'! S. PS: I think that first picture is amazing! Love the rainbow of flower colors......

Amazing pics as always, Doug! The yellow flowers remind me of last September's archery hunt, not too far from there...... Good show, friend! S. -
I suppose 6A. Primarily because it isn't too hard to get drawn for, and I can be there in 90 minutes from my HOT desert home! S.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing...... Congrats on your 1st Place ribbon!! S. -
200-350# for most? Maybe 500#? Just guesses..... Suppose an outfitter or butcher might chime in. S.

I always figured it was just a funny 'tongue in cheek' expression used by hard-core coues fanatics in reference to the muleys!! What does it mean? Well, what is a Carp usually associated with when fishing? A big old nasty thing, that you would generally not want to catch! All in good fun, for sure! S.

BIG congrats on that tag!!!!! Good luck! S. -
My two youngest kids got early Junior permits in 36A (any antlered deer)! It's going to be hot, but could be a fun hunt. Only 50 tags issued, so crowds should not be an issue. October Whitetail , three weeks later for their older brother and I! Good luck to all! S.
