I would bet against it with those odds. Thinking sometime next week.....

Matter of opinion.... As someone who has worked in the money/cards business (tech side) for a LONG time, I would say Venmo, PayPal, Apple Cash, or Google Pay.... (Or cash... lol) Can be various fees for speed, transferability, etc.. Gotta pay to play, I suppose.

Noticed a post regarding an antelope hit on another site.

BTW, I'm betting the 'over' on Gambels next fall!!!!

Awesome! Hunters helping hunters. Good stuff!

No new news scoop or anything, but a little more info on the overall winter precipitation picture for this year. Good stuff! 'Weather chaos' brings enough snow to fill Verde River reservoirs, ease drought conditions (yahoo.com)

This article just caught my eye. Glad to see it. Of course our own feral horse population here in AZ came to mind. Thinking the Forest Service managers all over the west (and country) might be watching this closely to maybe help with solution(s) in other forests and/or wilderness areas. S. Kill order for New Mexico feral cows issued by US officials (yahoo.com)

Yawn...... Just another great outing with family posted by Tyler. 😂 Freaking good stuff! +1 on that gray stuff, Big Tub! LOL I'm thinking if you did a search on key words 'javelina killed' on this site going back to beginning, that elkhunter's handle would pop-up WAY more than anyone else in cw.com history!

True story: LONG time ago my older bro was waiting tables at the Westward Look while in college, and some customer from back east asked him what a chimichanga was. Brother responded that it was a "fried burro". Customer asks with a surprised look; 'You guys eat those things out here???'! S. #burronotburrito -
Any unit open to public hunting has fairly decent opportunity for success. The “decent draw odds…” is where you’re going to have a very big challenge. Prior to doing some digging to get connected into a ranch to hunt, I did quite a lot of research on the public draw. VERY long odds no matter where you apply. As with most states (AZ included), there are quotas that limit non-residents to a very small percentage of overall tags. Have you dug deep into the New Mexico regulations? The odds are listed there. Good luck!!!! Edit - Here is the summary 2022 report: https://www.wildlife.state.nm.us/download/hunting/license-information/application-draw/odds/2022-Odds-Summary.pdf

Yep, they've been pretty persistent lately. Most are long time members here so you might not know or remember but when signing up for an account here, Amand has put a couple of things in place that are specifically designed to try to keep bots/spam to a minimum. Firstly, when the new user initially tries to sign-up there is challenge-response authentication step in place that is primarily designed to curb bot attacks. Secondly, the user then can't post or sign-in until they reply to the initial e-mail that is sent (This is a standard internet account authentication step that is designed as much to protect the user as it is the site....). Even with those standard protocols in place, of course scammers/fakers are still persisting and getting through. Best advice I have is to try to ignore them as 'white noise' and know that the moderators are doing our best to delete the erroneous accounts as quickly as possible. S.

Nice stringer(s). Plus, I see a Vizsla!!! (I've had my red-dog out quail hunting close to San Carlos lake a couple of times this fall.... )

Good stuff! @Apache7mm, any word from the hydrologists regarding what the western NM snowpack might hold? Curious how much higher they expect it to rise from spring runoff.

Anyone who get's off clubbing animals in the head for kicks has serious issues.... Regarding "AZ fish and wildlife...", it looks like the article was quoting the school Athletic Director.

Very cool! (Video quality is fine.) S.

Cite your source(s) for the above info? Back when this happened, like a lot of folks I was dumbfounded about how in the F it could ever happen. Did some digging, and as far as I could find there are no 'Hollywood rules' in effect anywhere near as strict as you have described. Most I could find is that there are various arts and production unions/organizations (mostly at the state level) that try to govern this type of thing, but the so called rules are sort of all over the place.

“Council” simply means ‘lawyer’. A lawyer would have no authority to grant them anything, except advice. (In fact it specifically says “…for legal advice…”.) To me, this doesn’t read at all like they already have the authority to shut down state land access and/or roads. It DOES look to me like they are interested in exploring the option, though.

Welcome to the site. LOTS of varying opinions about the hunt up on the Kiabab and Russ, too! Awesome that you can take the entire hunt off. I had a fall cow tag 2 1/2 years ago, and several other folks on this board have also had bison tags. I used Russ's 'partially' guided option, and was happy with the service I received. I also spent time scouting and doing some 'ride along' time with Russ's crew during the summer prior to the hunt. In addition, several guys on this site were VERY generous in sharing experience and information (and in once case even sharing access to cameras when they were still legal...). Ended-up being VERY lucky and killing one on the first day. Send me a note if you want to chat. Hopefully some other guys will chime-in here, too. S.
