    Draw Results

For what it's worth I called the Tennesse company and they said didn't say anything that you hunt4horns said....I dont' know what to believe other than I got a 19.50 charge on my cc.....which means I'm doing some WT hunting in December or November.....I sure hope they are only 1/3 of the way done on billing and I have more coming. I have to say this is better than Christmas morning.

    hits on cc

I'm calling your bluff on this one....it has never happened that way EVER
  6. Not sure what you did wrong....it's still there. www.hagshouse.com then click on the "enter hagshouse" You cannot access anything after this point without a user ID and password. Once you have that you would scroll down and click on "homemade trail camera".....then start reading and listening. You will alot better luck with getting responses from people if you use the search button and do your own research before you go asking questions that have been asked a million times. Any parts you will need you can get from the hagshouse online store. scott
  7. BUILD YOUR OWN....it's a new store bought brand
  8. I agree 100% I just recently finally got Swarovski's. People think we are nut....and we are! Rim Hunter, If you go to wally-world and get the rechargeable energizers that are 2500-2800 mAh (milli-amp hours) you can run the cam for a month or around 400 pics. They are rechargeable so now all you pay is electricity to charge the suckers and your good to go. The nice thing about building your own is the size. You can build a unit that is literally just larger than a $10 bill.....3D camo that bad boy and you'll be lucky to find the thing once you've left it on a tree. Most people are not in the woods looking for cams. When you have some big ol' 1'LX8W"8"D Moultrie hangin' on a tree the thing sticks out like a sore thumb. MY RECOMMENDATIONS ARE: 1. GET OR BUILD THE BEST YOU CAN AFFORD 2. GET WHAT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE SPENDING AND LEAVING HANGIN' IN A TREE 3. DON'T BE LAZY AND STUPID WITH PLACEMENT OR IT'S GONE
  9. Terry, This is not the place to learn how to build cams.....this is for learning about coues....BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND www.hagshouse.com and www.realdealhuntingchat.invisionzone.com I use only hagshouse boards.....in my opinion they are the best. All the people I previously mentined use these boards.....they are the best around. They have a great layout and are dependable beyond belief. These boards as well as pixcontroller's boards all run on a 9V battery for 6 months. NO MOUTRIE IN THE WORLD WILL TOUCH THAT! Your hardest part is going to be finding a fast camera. The Sony P41 and Olympus D380 are the best and fastest around.....both of which are no longer being manufactured or sold new from stores. good luck scott
  10. Just for the record....I am not criticizing anyones method of using trailcams.....whether it be the brand or the setup. I'm simply stating my opinion. I have really layed off the camera building for selling because I don't have time. So I'm not promoting my cams. I would recommend that anyone simply build or buy the best they can afford and feel comfortable leaving in the field. I 3D camo all my cams and as a few of you that use them know.....they literally disappear when strapped to a tree. For those of you using them.....don't be stupid with placement. Do be the guy who rides his quad to right to where you leave your cam.....cause if you got there someone else can to. LOCK your cams up....it won't stop theives but it will keep the honest guy honest. As TAM stated you can build a camera, if your lucky for $180, but most likely around $200-$215. You will need a few tools and a mechanically inclined mind but you will walk away knowing your setup inside and out and not have the attitude "well it's only $99 if it gets stolen". Again these are just my opinions and I am not in anyway trying to sell you my units. Anyone that has my units is happy but they are not for everyone.
  11. If I were you buy the very best that you can afford. You will be dissapointed with the moultries....Ask Little Bear, Bowsniper, Treestandman, Josh Epperson, Runningbird, j-rod or anyone else who seriously uses trailcams. No offense bowhunter4life, but those Moultries from Wally world SUCK and SUCK HARD!!!! You will miss game, get only meteocre picture or the things won't consistenly work. The best thing is to build your own! You can do so for about $215 if you have the right equipment and are mechanically inclined.

    My sickness

Well you have the same sickness we all do......welcome to the crowd....I think we are an elite group of sick people. Especially this time of year. I think we have 7 days (hopefully less) until the draw results are out. My only recommendation would be to save some of you and your wifes money and buy you some Swarovski or Leica Binos. Your wife should love that. Tell her you need it to help with your sickness......it's making you blind and you need some extra high quality binoculars to be able to see anymore.
  13. Congrats Mark!!! Anything that you kill you are very deserving of because I know you put TONS AND TONS of effort into find animals. Hope all is well with your wrist!!
  14. I have a nearly new Swarovski Tripod adapter for sale asking $85+shipping. email me: coues7@yahoo.com

    cam pics

Desertbull great pics. What unit are you getting your pics in....if you don't mind me asking? With the temps getting high and the weather being dry, I am extremely grateful to the ranchers, organizations and anyone who takes the time to build those trick tanks and drinkers. I think they are real saviors to our wildlife.
  16. Great Pics Ron. That coyote looks a little pissed. It will be a very educative experience to see all the trial cam pics this year with the drought to watch and see antler growth. Lets hope for a miracle with some sort of moisture!
  17. I sent mine to all District 5 reps regardless of polictical orientation! Thanks for the heads up!! Here are you district 5 reps: 'jflake@azleg.gov'; 'jbrown@azleg.gov'; 'bkonopnicki@azleg.gov'

    Bear and Mt. Lion Changes

Well the prickly pears are like candy so if you find a "bear in the pears" they are about as good as dead. Thus the quote bears in the pears. Bears love them....it's like shootin' a kid in a candy store!
  20. Did anyone notice that you now have to report bear and mt. lion IN PERSON to the AZGFD? That's gonna suck if you live outside metro areas and don't know how to get a hold of the game warden Also fee's in 2007 are going up LOTS......holy crap....this is the 1st time I've seen those bumps and they are gonna hurt! $42.25 for deer, 29.75 for bear I guess they are getting our money

    The meeting

Rembrant, I DO NOT NEED ANGER MANAGEMENT. I was simply expressing my opinion. Just because I had all caps and a cuss word doesn't mean I'm violent or have anger problems. I am just really concerned about what the AZGFD is doing with our hunting future. If the ADA worked with the AZGFD to put the survey together then I would think they would listen to the results. I took the survey and am disappointed that only 6500 people did. If we love hunting and the outdoors so much it doesn't matter how busy we are we need to take time for the things that matter most to us.....families, outdoors, hunting etc. I agree that the AZGFD shouldn't just listen and give into whatever any joe blow wants but some of their decisions are just mind boggeling.

    Dead Heads?

did you end up giving the head up? Some wardens are like that.....I think it's little mans syndrome.

    The meeting

I had my state board exam or I would have been there. I was absolutely blown away that only 20 hunters showed. It is really sad that those ASSHOLES at the AZGFD would pull such a thing, when it was my understanding that they helped the ADA put the survey together. NOT RANDOM AND SCIENTIFIC MY butt! Our hunting future has been and is in SERIOUS jeopardy.....but when you have commisioners and board members like have been appointed what are we to do? SATURDAY APRIL 22, 2006 IS AND WAS A VERY SAD DAY FOR AZ HUNTERS! Scott
  24. I had to go down to Hereford AZ (which is between Sierra Vista and Bisbee) this morning.....what beautiful country. It looks like coues deer heaven with lots of Border Patrol angels The Huachuca Mountains (I assume that's what they are are georgous. Any one hunt the area? How do you get access?

    2006 Dec. coues hunts

TAM, I agree with you 100%.....why won't the AZGFD listen??? I think that they are going to do what they want, when they want, and for whatever reason they see fit NO MATTER what we say. VERY VERY UNFORTUNATED. It's just saddening. I have said this a dozen times now.....I can tell you from 1st hand experience....units with lots of tags (SUPPOSED OPPORTUNITY /QUANTITIY) SUCK!!!!! Everyone is on top of everyone and it is a miserable experience. AZ HUNTER WANT QUALITY NOT QUANITITY. WHY WHY WHY WON'T THE AZGFD LISTEN????
