You won't find better scope mounts than Larue....they run $200 but again you won't find better. A good scope is all up to you.....do you want 40mm or 50mm, variable power or fixed. Depending on $$ I'd set Leupold as the bottom line.

I ended up getting one of these: Bog Gear in PAYSON AZ I ordered the V-shaped piece for $11 to my door. Ultra light weight and I'll have to let you know how it works. The gun claw looks pretty good but I bet it's expensive too! Scott

Mark, Just my opinion, but I wouldn't worry about getting and Short Barreled Rifle (SBR).....buy enough AR's for each family member and 1000 rounds for each. I've had a number of full-autos and they are fun but SUPER expensive. As you said we should all be investing in precious metals to feed the guns we have. Wetmule, Well put my friend well put!!!!!!!!
