I've hunted down there with friends and family the last 3 years and it is scary as heck. No one should ever hunt that unit. besides there are no deer there.

Looks like your wife holding out paid off. I have held off on 2 archery hunts and did not get a shot on my rifle hunt. I sure hope it pays off in Dec! Congrats to both of you on some nice bucks

Has anyone blamed Global Warming yet?... I think 308nut is spot on. It seems like I recall quite a few stories where either outfitters or groups of friends scout and spend a lot more time out there stalking these trophies and can make a phone call and get their "shooter" setup for a kill. Yeah I said "shooter"

This is your dad's decision and his alone. But since you asked One of the many lessons I learned from my Dad many years ago is that there are more important things in life than being able to do the things we love to do. There are responsibilities and chores that need to be placed above those things that are priveledges and luxury to us. Work hard and do the best you can to get your grades up. Ask for extra credit if you have to. And most importantly, talk to you dad and make sure he knows what you are doing to get there and what you need help with. Good luck with your schoolwork! I am sure you will be out in the field chasing critters soon!

Congrats on the Great Forky! Coues or Mulie that is a 2 pointer in my region ! I was up there Helping my brother and cousin on that hunt. My brother missed a shot on a nice 4x opening morning. My cousin Did finally get a shot and took a Spike on the last day he could hunt last Monday. I did see a GMC HD with Utah Plates and a coueswhitetail.com sticker up there. That would'nt have happened to be you was it?

Simply Awesome. I am glad it was not me is all I was thinking as I read the part about those "poor" ladies. I could only imagine the Buzzkill that took place because you obviously understood the effect it had on them. To feel sorry for thier mental trauma all at the same time of the joy that comes with your first Archery Coues! Crikey! All I can say is congrats and well done on handling the situation. That is a hunt I would pay money to see on video!

I recieved this set as a gift a few years ago and it has sat under my backyard grill ever since. It is a Camp Chef Lewis and Clark Commemorative edition. It comes with a Deep dish Dutch Oven with lift tool and carry bag, 13" Cast Iron Skillet, and a Cast Iron Griddle with "T" handles, The Griddle is the only piece that has had the wax burned off and it had sat dry for some time it does have some surface rust that I am getting off before seasoning it. The Dutch Oven lid also doubles as a Skillet or Hot Plate. I would like to sell the set intact for $75. ** Set originally came with a 4" skillet as well. I can find will come along with it. PM if interested.

This is the part I have been struggling with too. If you know who or think you know who. Deal with it with the person. Nothing against what was done because in the heat of the moment it sounds like something I might do.But I didnt. I personally would not have put a cam near a blind I thought might be being used but then I dont have a cam...One of these days someone is going to get shot doing something stupid like this and the antis are going to revel in it...
