Who is doing elk euro in the nw valley

MBR Skull Worx. He’s in the NW valley. He has done two for me and does an amazing job. He uses the maceration process and they have never yellowed. You can find his info on facebook.

Unit 9 Late Season Help for Son

We have made 5 weekend scouting trips to the unit so far. Its definitely a challenge to glass the terrain. We have seen a lot of cows but most of the tanks we have found seem to have more hunter traffic than Elk.

Unit 9 Late Season Help for Son

I have yes. New to this state and trying learn from those with more experience and unfortunately all the knowledge I have is hard to share as its elsewhere. But if anyone ever needs advice for Montana, Oregon, Georgia or South Carolina I’d love to help.
  4. Before I ask the question.....YES.....I KNOW....late season rifle hunt in unit 9 is a difficult hunt for many reasons. HAHA not to be rude, I just don't want to waste your all's time with that part of it. So this year, I was fortunate enough to draw an early season archery Elk tag for unit 8. I have spent most of the year scouting for that hunt which will end on September 23rd. From that point on I will be putting all my efforts into preparing for my 12 year old son's rifle hunt in unit 9. The hunt is from November 26th-December 3rd. I understand the unit has challenging weather, limited area to glass and other difficulties. Does anyone have information that could help me get started in there right direction? This is his first Elk hunt and he is excited beyond belief!!! I'm hoping it will be a successful one. I truly value your all's help and advice. Last year was his first deer hunt down in 36c and it was because of the info the members on this page provided that helped us in getting him the little buck below and was a memory neither of us will ever forget!! Thank you all in advance.
  5. So it’s been many years since I hunted around 20c. Army took me to the southern states and just recently moved back to AZ. My son drew a tag for any antlered deer. It’s the later youth hunt going on this week Nov 22nd- Dec 1st. We spend last weekend hunting some great looking areas with no luck. Deer seem highly pressured and not seeing much move around. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Hello everyone, I have been following the discussions on this page for some time, and I appreciate all the knowledgable info. About a decade ago I used to hunt Unit 21 archery mule deer. After the army stationed me in Georgia for the past ten years, I have not had an opportunity to return home to AZ until I recently moved back. I automatically put in for unit 21 mule deer because I thought I still hade some memory of the unit and would at least know where to start. Although it has felt so good being back home, scouting and hiking the mountains of AZ........I WAS WRONG. I have spent a good amount of time scouting areas I remember holding decent deer. Now all I see is whitetail which, I love and could watch all day, but don't match my tag. Im sure there are still some muleys somewhere but after many failed scouting trips I'm not confident I will locate them before my November hunt coming up. Are there still decent numbers in 21? Did I make a mistake by putting in for this unit? Or am I just not in the right areas anymore? Thanks in advance for any input!
