    Preator calling help

Guys thanks for your all your help! I really appreciate it! I'm really looking forward to trying it out. I also bought a couple of scent pads to put some scents on and leave next to the speaker. I even bought a flimsy thin metal rod to tack a tail on to let fly in the wind. I'm gonna try and get out in the next week or so and give it a shot. I'll post an update when I get back. Thanks again for all the help!

    Handgun carry during archery hunt

Just an FYI for all us archery hunters who want to carry a handgun during archery season. Per AZ game and fish dept. Just aHello, The regulations state that it is illegal to posses while on an restricted hunt any method of take other than what is listed. The law has not changed; however, our department has passed a department wide directive that states no Game and Fish officer will penalize any individual who is carrying an non-hunting type firearm while participating in an Archery only hunt. The directive also defines a non-hunting type fire arm to have a barrel length of 6 inches or less and has no additional electronic or scoped sighting other than steel sights. You shouldn't have much problem with it but do keep in mind that this is an Arizona Game and Fish department directive and other law enforcement agencies are not required to follow it. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us. Rain Gear

I agree with Coueshunter I also have the Cabelas Dry Plus gear and couldn't be happier with them. I was up in Payson this past weekend helping my buddy with his elk hunt. I stayed dry and everyone else was soaked to the bone! I have the light weight gear that stuffs into its own pack. Weighs just ounces! Now if I could only find some gloves that worked the same. It's tuff putting on gloves on with wet hands.

    24A BUCK

    Great looking buck and congrats!
  22. Hey everyone, I've been sitting in the backfield enjoying everyone's posts for the past year or so and thought I would finally post a pic of my opening day Coues. I shot a nice one last year and was fortunate not only to draw another tag in the same area but to top it with this years. I had a great DIY hunt and deffinately worked for this one. I'd scouted the area pretty hard with good success and when I showed up 2 days before opener for some touch up glassing, I couldn't find anything except my shadow at 4am. Opener, I was at my spot glassing my ridge and spotted a bear at 150 yds with no bear tag!!! No deer on that ridge so I ended up spinning 180 degrees and found this guy at about 1 1/2 miles away as he walked over a ridge. I eventually made it to where he went over only to find chest high thick manzanita and no deer! I ended up sitting and glassing for a while with no luck and then decided to sneek my way in. I walked about 20 yards and he jumped up out of his bed at 100 yards. Hope everyone enjoys the pic. Thanks, Paul
