Looks great! I plan to cook my next one like that as a roast rather than medallions.

Had a hunt in that unit first week of Nov. Knew where some animals were, weather changed for the worst, and never saw a thing. There are certainly a lot of elk in the unit though. Look around 126 and 146 roads, around black canyon lake area, and check game and fish site for other locations. Ive see a ton of elk in this narrow unit.

Looks really good! I have a stand up freezer and I’m still eating 2017 animals too, don’t worry lol. Theres always something at the front of the freezer.

I trap cats in my neighborhood. They are a major nuisance with 2-3 litters a year being born up and down the alleyway behind my street. I use any ol cheap wet cat food, and make sure to set the trap in a semi confined space such as behind the trash cans, rather than right out in the open. They sit in the open for a week and the same cats walk by, but if I hide it a little they walk right in, for the same week old food. Good luck.

Does anyone else use a sous vide for cooking food? Which one do you have and what vessel do you use it in? My step father has been in the meat business for 50 years from mopping floors in a butcher shop at 17 to regional manager at one of the largest distributors in the country and everywhere in between. Dude swears by the things. He gifted us the Anova Bluetooth model for a wedding present a few years ago and my wife and I have been trying to new ways to utilize it ever since. I just posted my sous vide venison “roast beef” recipe in food porn 2020 thread. My favorite thing to use the anova for is keeping food ready to eat without overcoooking it, while spending time preparing other dishes. If you want your meat medium rare it can sit in the water bath for hours and never get 1 degree over finished cook temp. What do you say? Too fancy? Not masculine enough for the mans men? Or perfect kitchen tool?

Is the frame bent from that crash? -
Should be easy to find a set of four.. Not so easy to find one. There is a huge AZ Cummins page on facebook with listings for original wheels daily.
-
There are four options for that year.. Can you get us a pic or even a diameter?

$130 for 500rd of .22LR? Isn’t that like a $50 box?

I am in a leadership role at my job with one of the larger electrical contractors in the state of AZ. We only do high end work and come well respected. They just recently rolled out a new code of expectations in detail for employees in all levels of the hierarchy in our field. Setting these expectations is very important in order to have a leg to stand on when it comes to keeping your word to your guys, and making sure they keep their word to you. Clearly defining what it is you need from them generally, and then each day, and holding them to it, while being open to them holding you to your role as well. If you care to read through the companies guidelines I can PM them to you for reference.

That’s funny but not funny.. Do what you want, this is a free country.

Very cool.

Thanks for the good word Harley! Seems like just a couple years ago I was 20 years old lol.

If any of you guys are in the east valley, I am able to do most general maintenance and repairs on travel trailers, toy haulers, and flatbed/utility trailers. Wiring, decks, roof maintenance, packing bearings, etc. I cant say that I’m the cheapest, but Im probably the most experienced. I do this out of my home where I operate an automotive and welding/fabrication shop outside my 9-5. I also am available for roadside repairs and recovery if needed.

In my experience weather plays a big part in late hunts and can really get them moving depending on unit. If in a unit that it typically warmer, and the weather finally turns, you may not see elk where you did during previous scouting trips if you see them at all.

This guy gets it.

Lost Nikon Bino Case in 3C on FR300 North Side of Road
Prettyman replied to lonne's topic in Lost and Found
I was all over that area last Sunday and didn’t see it. We have a cow hunt coming up and will keep an eye out. What color is it? -
Those are great trucks. Fitech makes a reasonably priced fuel injection setup that fits them. I’d probably be looking to go that route for a 4x4. I come across parts from time to time so Ill keep an ear to the ground. Also, I build differentials for a living, and have a ton of experience with the ford 9” that comes in these trucks if you end up needing axle work.

I ordered a few boxes from SG ammo last week. Hoping they show up by the time my hunt comes around in November.. Maybe they can expedite shipping for you? -
Well crap. Nice of you to pass them on to someone who can use them.

The market is rough right now.. Stuff that was 20k last year is 30k today, especially with the onset of dune season and hunting season, its a sellers market. If you find something you like, buy it right then. It will be gone the next day.
-
Can I assume its boring because of coved protocol? Or are they just a mostly mail order type of deal and don’t have a cool show room? We are pretty close to Fountain hills and Ive always wanted to stop by.

Sous Vide - Sounds weird.. changes the game..

Vac seal is not necessary. We use zip locks all the time. I like my burgers med rare at best so I’d be heating them to 130 in the bag before a QUICK hot sear. Should only take about 30-45 min to do a little 1/2lb hamburger.
