Tradman

There was a lot of bugling towards the end of the day. Lot of small groups of elk scattered around. Just couldn't make it happen. Ran out of day light.

Was in 5bn cow hunting, got stuck but was able to get out.

Tillman was a nfl player before he was a Ranger, was already in the spot light. He was also killed by friendly fire. Kirk on the other hand pretty much has received full military honors as well as a flight on Air Force 2. Im not the only combat veteran that feels this way. Its just an insult to combat veterans who have fought and died in combat.

Not to sound negative, but I find it disheartening that decorative combat veterans who have died in combat receive less recognition than a politician.

Spent 3 more days in 5bn. I heard one bugle Saturday morning. Didnt see a single elk though.

I was hunting deer.

Just spent 2 days in 5BN there's a little rain here and there. Its still fairly dry though. Saw very little elk.

I hunted the unit mentioned opening day to Sunday evening. We were seeing bulls everyday. Majority of them were spikes and and a few that were slightly larger. All were spotted by getting to higher vantage points and glassing. Hitting up the unit today, as I took a break yesterday.

Seen some in 5B today as well. Opening day tomorrow.

I'll be up in 5B as well. We've got the Hopi hunt tags. We filled our Hopi deer hunt tags opening day last week. Next up is the elk.

Been hunting pronghorn in the Hopi 5A ranch area. Seen 3 big herds of elk. Some nice bulls 8n with the herds. This is in the low lands.

That is correct. I'm a Hopi tribal member and drew a Pronghorn tag for 5a, which starts tomorrow. The tribe will ask for Name, Address, Telephone Number Driver’s license number Vehicle: Make, model, year, color, license plate number Hunt # Tag # Scout Date Hunt Date Names and birthdates of individuals traveling with you. List additional vehicles you will be taking. Once they receive the info they will issue you a acces card with the gate code. They are pretty quick about responding.

Mine just says tag number 6.

Or the ones that say mint or 100%, but than say slight blemish, scratch or ding. If they are indeed mint, doesn't that mean their should be no imperfections at all?

Nope. Im a Hopi tribal member. Still have to get lucky. My buddy is also a tribal member, He's been putting in for 5years straight for a pronghorn tag and still hasn't been able to draw one.

3rd tag in 5 years for pronghorn, 6th tag in 6 years for Bull elk!

I used Sig 120grain elite hunting solid copper. I know it wasn't subsonic, but the buck dropped. I have a 8in Wilson Combat barrel.
