"BTW.... I know I am probably alone on this, but you could not pay me to put a 7mm-08 in my kids hands.... sorry.... " What about when you talked to me about borrowing mine Here is another vote for 7MM-08 My girls have taken Javi's. Deer, Antelope and Elk with there Remington Model 7 I will be mine gun of choice if packing in on a WT hunt and do not want to pack my big heavy 7MM Mag. I just really feel the 7MM is the ideal all around bullet -

Well Guys (Gales) the season is winding down. What to do till we all start getting STUPID about the upcoming draw I ran across this a few months ago and finally got a mold. (no not a fungus) Here is a chance for you to do a Lot of practice shooting and a great way to introduce a young'n to how to handle a gun and practice. Can be done in the garage or even the house. All you would need if you are not a reloader is a Lee Hand Loader (pretty cheap) http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/...leitemid=410804 Or some one to size your brass once and then just a Lee Auto Prime http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/...leitemid=807875 And as many primers as you want to buy. A glue gun and glue. I am told you should drill out the flash hole so the primer does not back out but have yet to get a answer on how large to drill it out. Because of this drilling those cases should only be set aside for gluelets ONLY. The procedure is Very simple all you have to do is fill a bullet mold about 3/4 full of hot glue and then close the sprue plate and top off. wait a couple minutes swing open. I used a razor blade scraper to trim off excess glue and WA-LA you have gluelets. I used some old Pam Spray my wife had as a release agent and had to reapply after about 4 castings. Now add a primer ONLY to a sized case and hand seat the gluelet. I just use a cardboard box as a target with a piece of carpet inside to stop the gluelet. They are reusable depending on the type of glue you use will determine their life. PLEASE BEWARE the are not a toy and with out a doubt will go thru drywall and cause a heck of a lot of pain if hit by one. ("NO" (Mom talking)some one will get an eye shot out ) Have fun in the off season and practice allot. Oh ya, I think they can only can be used in a hand gun since the primer does not have enough energy to push them thru a riffle barrel. Please, if anyone else has done this and has some input please post as I just made my first 100 glulets.

Agreed Amanda, here a couple to balance. My first archery bull I shot from a tree stand. The Bull bolted when hit for about 20 yards then stopped to figure out what just happened. 30 seconds later he fell over dead. What a thrill that was for my first. The Bull I shot 2 years ago from a ground blind ran about a 40 yard loop and fell over dead about 20 yards from where I hit him. I have had 2 or 3 Javelina go less than 40 yards with one dead on the spot. I do not think I have had any animal go over a hundred yards. I guess the secret to a fast recovery starts with shot placement. I do have some input on recovery I will post latter. -
Tell your dad you want a really bumping system for it now. That should drive him nuts. Yea just like my 2 idiots Cars are falling apart underneath them But don't have a clue because of that noise
