FEMALE GERMAN SHORTHAIR POINTER PUP READY NOW
GameHauler replied to AZMEATHUNTER's topic in Classified Ads
Guess no one wants to pay that much I would take her for free like my last 4 dogs -
The commission we have now would suspend you for leaving a candy bar wrapper on the ground by your stand- I wouldn't trust them with something that significant. If the animals is still alive that long after the shot, you don't deserve to tag it. Our game and fish laws by and large are quite archaic. Many of them allow NO discretion whatsoever to the wildlife managers. They state that if....such and such happens and it comes to the attention of a WM and he/she does not arrest you, then THEY are guilty! With laws like that on the books, I wouldn't dream of finishing one off the day after. I would still pack my pistol, but wouldn't shoot it unless it charged me. UM! I really am going to bite my tongue right now as I have been taking my pain meds I mostly disagree with your post. The WM's can make a call and they do based on the situation. Most are GREAT people and love hunting and GOOD hunters I grow very tired of people bashing the Dept but the folks in the field are for the most part GREAT. NO, I do not agree with alot of the Commissions views and decisions and we have to be willing to send Emails or go to meetings to change that, Not just posting on a web site that they would write you for dropping a wrapper

My personal best happened Yesterday. I made the choice to see how soon I could get my shoulder surgery so I would not have to wait 6 more weeks with the pain. I was able to get it scheduled for a week from Friday on the 9th and made arrangements today to donate my tag to: http://www.outdoorexperienceforall.org/index.html If I am able to be apart of this hunt (or not) it will be one of the finest no mater the outcome. Keep these good folks in mind if you ever find yourself in a situation like mine.

You better wait a whole lot longer than 3 weeks to recover that rack or you could be in DEEP DoDo.
-
I would think that if you called and told them the situation you would be able to carry a weapon. If you have an animal that is wounded and not going to make it you would need to finish it off. Otherwise all these anti-hunters have a reason to hate us for being cruel. It is unethical to let an animal suffer. He agreed It is sad to have to let it suffer but that is what the law states. All you can do is back out and let it expire. Would every Judge convict you? Would every WM write you up ? Not worth taking the chance of loosing your license for 5 years.

One of the WM's I know just stopped in to schedule some repairs on his trailer. I asked him the Question and the law says you may not take the weapon in the field with the intentions to shoot it if not dead. It would be considered in pro suit after your season has closed.

Hoppes #9 is best used as a perfume by a women wanting to attract a outdoorsman type man -
Will do. I think the Chili cook off should be coming up soon. Got to wait for the temps to drop before that one I think it may also be the state championship? Do you know Jade?

If anyone likes fiddle music and is bored this weekend the State Championship is being held in Payson today and tomorrow. It is just off of old Main Street and they say there will be signs showing the way. I believe it is $5.00 a car load to get in.

Reminds me of a time I took Amber up an Old/Old road to recover a downed Elk. The WM got a call from the main office after someone reported me. He knew we were hunting the area and with the description of Amber he was given he knew it was me and the only reason I would do that was to recover an Elk. He did not come to investigate but did stop into camp latter to see what we had gotten and to tell use someone reported us. It is nice to know the WM's in the unit you are hunting in. When hunting different units I always try to meet them.

I shot one about 4 years ago. he went about 20 yds and piled up. I crawled out of the blind and took him about 20yds downwind from the blind and preceded to hunt. I was a bit worried about the smell of the blood but had a 90" buck right on top of it so I learned something. Glad you were able to take out another killer IT IS OUR DUTY
