I kicked it around pretty heavy last year but Now I have decided to start putting in. I do not have the remotest idea what to do and I found the NM regs very hard to transverse. Any of you guys want to lead me in the right direction I would be very grateful. Even the slightest bit of info will help since I will spend a ton of time between now and App. time to chose my choices. I am not getting any younger and like a dumb a$$ abused my body without making a fortune doing it so I feel this is a hunt I can afford since I doubt Alaska will ever have the opportunity of my presents Thank guys and I think PM's may work best for you or post away.

Things are better here but when I load up the night before I move my truck behind the fence and the dog is on patrol. When I loaded for the sheep hunt besides having all the usual hunting gear I had food to feed eight hunters for at least a week. There was not an inch of truck (crew cab, long bed) that was not stuffed with stuff. Fortunately my travle trailer had been parked in Quartsite already for 2 months and had rented a storage to keep the quads in . Had to make 3 trips to QS to get every to camp but that was the only practical way to have all I needed. The trip home was supper full with the RV now packed so full you could not get in the door and TJ brought one of the Quads back to Mesa for me. Did I unpack that night? NO! just backed everything behind the gate. No I could not have done that in Mesa.

Last Saturday while helping my Daughter on her WT tag I got in a position where I felt the need to shoot a rattle snake. I have made shots like this in the past with maybe some minor ringing but this time the first words out of my mouth were "Holly ~^$& that was loud" I have suffered all week with substantial hearing loss and played heck on the phone. I have just hung a pair of the ear plugs in my safe where I will see them and added another pair to my pack with intentions of buying more and hanging them on all my guns with the promise off having them around my neck ANY time I am in the field with a gun and no excuses for not putting them in. I already have poor hearing from working steel for many years and it's no fun. PROTECT your hearing as best you can and you will be much happier
